Wu Shan, Beijing

When I was in primary school, two of my classmates always asked me to do many things for them, like buying breakfast or copying the materials, which put me under great anxiety. So I decided to refuse all their unreasonable requests. As a result, they didn’t order me to do anything anymore. From this experience, I learned to say no to unfair things bravely, because only in this way can I get respect.

Matt, London

My classmate Jack used to laugh at me because of my weight. I cared too much about the opinion so I ate less and paid more attention to my appearance (外貌). The more I care about the comments (评论), the more worried I became. After realizing that everyone was different, I refused to change myself. Now I have got back my confidence and don’t care about what others say. I think it is necessary to say no and stand up for myself.

I used to have difficulty working out math problems. To help me, my classmates showed me their answers directly. However, I still couldn’t work out the problems during the next test. 文章大意:本文介绍了就餐使用手机的礼仪,以及有礼貌的重要性。

When eating out, people want to have a great experience. This means that they want not only nice food but also polite and considerate (考虑周到的) people in the restaurant.

One thing people shouldn’t do at a table is talking on a mobile phone. Such action is thought to be impolite to the people around you. Some restaurants have rules against mobile phones. But whether there are rules or not, you should set your phone to the silent or vibrate mode (振动模式). If you get an important phone call and have to talk on it while eating, leave the table to answer it. Remember to talk in a quiet and weak voice even if you’re not at the table.

It is important to use good manners with everyone in the restaurant, including the people who are serving you. Always say “please” and “thank you” to the servers. These simple words can improve or speed up your service for you.

Kids should not get up and run around the tables in a restaurant. They should stay in their seats during the meal. Make sure they don’t make noise or cause trouble for other people.

Being polite can help everyone have a good time, not only in a restaurant. If people are more polite and respectful to others, everyone will have fun.
