Who does most chores in your family? Do you do chores at home? How will students in our school answer these questions? Let’s have a look.
My mother does most of the chores, like cooking and folding the clothes. I usually help my mother do chores on weekends. I can do the washing, sweep the floor and take out the rubbish. My mother wants to teach me how to cook, but I don’t want to learn it at all. Linda, 14 |
My mother and my father each do 50% of the chores. My mother does the washing and cleans the living room. My father makes the bed and cooks meals. They don’t let me do chores. They think I should spend more time on my study. So I don’t do any chores. Celina, 13 |
My father doesn’t do a lot but he tries to help. He hangs up the clothes after my mother does the washing and my mother is happy that he always gives her a hand. I do chores every day. Though I am a boy, my mother says I should do chores because it’s important to learn how to look after myself. Paul, 16 |
My mother is a doctor. She is busy with her work every day, so she has little time to do chores. In fact, she isn’t good at doing chores. So my father has to do most of them. Sometimes my grandmother comes to help. And I help them, too. Bill, 15 |
