On a sunny afternoon, we went to a park to have fun. Some people were painting pictures, some were writing calligraphy(书法), and some were shooting arrows. I decided to try shooting arrows myself—it looked fun and challenging.

I saw one woman pick up an arrow and shoot it after taking a moment to aim(瞄准). The arrow curved(飞出弧线) through the air beautifully. But it finally fell to the ground and missed the target(目标).

It seemed that she didn't put enough power into her shot. While I was thinking about what I should do, it was my turn to shoot. I focused my eyes on the target and shot the arrow with all of my strength. But the arrow missed the target and stuck straight in the grass. I shot three more arrows, but all of them missed.

I was upset, but decided to take one more shot. I took a deep breath and put one foot forward to keep my balance. I focused hard on the target and shot the arrow. This time, I hit the target!

I realized that there are many things that are not as simple as we imagine. There are challenges everywhere. But if we focus on one thing at a time and learn from failure, we can succeed in the end.

Usually, most junior 3 students would be running, doing sit-ups or push-ups on the playground at the end of April. They would be preparing for their upcoming physical education(PE)test. The test is important because it's worth 30 to 40 points on the senior high school entrance exam(中考).

But due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, many places like Shanghai, Shandong and Zhejiang have canceled the test this year. Many students and parents have been discussing this change.

"I feel so relieved that I don't need to run an 800-meter race or skip rope in hot weather," said Zhao Jiawen, 15, a student from Shanghai. Since she has been stuck at home, Zhao's mom has been making delicious snacks. And she's always sitting in front of the computer taking her online classes and watching TV on the sofa. "Honestly, I haven't run even once and have gained(增加)some weight. It would drive me crazy to review my lessons and spend time exercising at the same time," Zhao added.

But for Deng Zirui, a student from Qingdao, Shandong, his efforts might be wasted. He has been running in the morning and doing 50 push-ups at his home every day. He has also been climbing stairs to build his leg strength. "It's not fair for students who have prepared carefully for the PE test when it's canceled. My son really worked hard and wanted to gain some advantages in the coming test," Deng's father said.

Many students are still waiting for the Ministy of Education's specific(具体的)instructions regarding the PE test. "This year, we can make some changes to meet different needs, such as canceling long-distance running to keep students safe," said Wang Zhihe, a professor at the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology." But for Chinese teenagers, the test is a really good way to boost(增强)their immunity(免疫力), build their confidence and keep healthy habits."

When shopping for clothes, my mother and I have always disagreed on what fits me well. To me, if it zips(拉上拉锁)，it fits. My mom, however, usually says I need a bigger size.

When I was a teenager, I wanted to dress like my friends, but my body size made it impossible. When mom told me something didn't suit me, or that I needed a bigger size, all I heard was that my body was wrong.

To avoid arguments, we stopped going shopping together. This continued until I got engaged(订婚)and needed to find a wedding dress(婚纱).

I could have just bought it alone, of course, but my mom is my favorite person to hang out with. The idea of looking for a wedding dress without her seemed as scary as taking her with me.

It is normal for you to see your parents every day. But for Zhang Xiang, a 16-year-old boy in Guangdong, the last time he saw his parents was a long time ago.

Zhang Xiang, who went missing more than 15 years ago, was reunited with his birth parents in Guangzhou on March 8, People's Daily reported.

According to the police, in early 2005, two gang(歹徒)members broke into Zhang Junliang's house and took away his 11-month-old son after tying up his wife while the father was away.    13    

Zhang Junliang and his wife quit their jobs after their son was abducted(诱拐). But they failed to find him after traveling to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Zhongshan and other major cities in Guangdong over the years.    14    

Zhang Xiang was one of nine children who were suspected to be abducted through a woman known as "Aunt Mei" between 2003 and 2005. So far, three children, including Zhang Xiang have been found.

It is estimated(估计)that 70000 children go missing in China every year, CGTN reported. However, only a very small number-perhaps 5 percent or even less-are ever found. Then these children could reunite with their families.

To deal with this problem, in May 2016, the Ministry of Public Security started an online platform(平台)called Tuanyuan to share information about missing children.    15    Of these, 4217 have been found, according to CGTN.
