1.Do something, like playing outside, listening to music, or watching TV.
2.Talk to a parent.
3.Talk to a friend.
Talking to friend can help, if that person is supportive(支持的). About half the kids who took our survey said they'd been laughed at for being scared of something. And even more 75% said they sometimes said they weren't scared when they really were. So never laugh at your friend. Encourage(鼓励)him or her today and maybe he or she will encourage you tomorrow!
Here's some very supportive advice kids have for other kids:
If you get scared at night, Monique, 10, suggests listening to the radio when you're falling asleep. Naruto, also 10, suggests writing or drawing what you're scared of and then ripping it into pieces. Twelve-year-old Jessica finds that it helps to take a deep breath(呼吸) when you're scared. Amanda, 11, thinks kids should talk with a parent or a teacher. "They will tell you a way to get it over.” she said. Bethany, 12, wants kids to hang tough, so they'll have the last word “Try, try again and never give up.”
1. What should you do if a friend tells you he or she is scared of something?A.Laugh at him or her. | B.Tell other people about it. |
