The rockets take astronauts and man-made satellites (卫星) into space. The satellites are used for communication, weather checking and research. But how do satellites stay up without falling down? There are two different forces(力量) influencing the satellites. One of them is the force of gravitation(地心引力), which tries to pull the satellites towards the earth and is like a rope which keeps the satellites from flying away. The other force is created by the turning of the satellite around the earth. This force tries to take the satellite away from the earth. With these two forces, the satellite goes round and round.
Everything that goes up has to come down. It is only a matter of time before a satellite comes back to the earth. As time goes by, the satellite loses its speed, which makes the force pull it towards the earth stronger than the force pulling it away. This makes the satellite fall down to the earth.
根据短文内容。判断下列句子的正(A)误(B)1. The satellites can’t be used for doing research.
2. There are two same forces that caninfluence the turning of the satellites.
3. The force created by the turning ofthe satellite helps to take the satellite away from the earth.
4. The satellite will lose its speed as time goes by.
5. It’s possible for the satellite to stay in space forever.

GPS, which means Global Positioning System, is a small radio receiver. It looks like a mobile phone, You can hold it in your hand, or put your pocket. It is sometimes put into a watch or a telephone, We also find GPS devices in cars, planes, or boats. Some of these device have electronic maps, so you know where you are. For example, in a city they can tell you the name of the street.
There are three parts to the Global Positioning System. The first part is the receiver. You can hold it in your hand, or have it fixed into your car, plane, etc. The second part is a group of satellites orbiting the Earth. The receiver contacts at least four of the satellites and calculates(计算)its position. The third part of the system is a network of group stations. They are all over the world. They control the satellites and make sure they are working well.
Some people think that in the future the GPS will be as common as the mobile. They are becoming cheaper and more and more accurate (精确的). There are also new uses for the GPS. Perhaps they will become like watches. Everyone will have one and you will never be lost again.

But things like art, literature, the internet, and space travel have only been made possible by the amazing intelligence of humans.
And yet, there are some who believe that we can create machines that can think and feel just like we do. Artificial intelligence, or AI, is defined by Merriam-Webster as “the capability of a machine to imitate intelligent human behavior”.
AI is around us every day. From Apple’s voice-activated assistant Siri to the software algorithms (算法) that shipping companies use to deal with deliveries. AI is very much a part of our lives.
But why do we put so much effort into creating machines that can think the way we do? For one thing, AI can make our lives much easier. Imagine being able to be in a car, tell it your destination, and sit back in comfort as the AI-guided self-driving car takes you there. We’re already getting there-Changsha became the first city in China to roll out self-driving taxis in April 2020.
However, there are risks. What if we somehow produced an artificial intelligence that was smarter than us? How would it behave toward us? These are the kinds of difficult questions that AI researchers ask themselves all the time.
Apart from the risks, it is already clear that AI is here to stay. Only time will tell if it will lead us into a new age of prosperity (繁荣), or be our end.

This is an old English saying. It means that we should go to bed early at night and get up early in the morning. If we do, we shall be healthy. We shall also be rich and clever.
Is this true? Perhaps it is. The body must have enough sleep. Children of your age need ten hours’ sleep every night. If you go to bed late, you can’t have enough sleep. Then you can’t think carefully and your homework will be wrong. You will not be wise and you may not become rich!
Some people go to bed late at night and get up late in the morning. This is not good for them.
We should sleep at night when it is dark. The dark helps us sleep well. When the daylight comes. we should get up. This is the time for exercise. If the body is not used, it will become weak. Exercise keeps it strong.
Exercise helps the blood (血液) to move around inside the body. Blood takes nutrition (营养) to all parts of our bodies. The brains (大脑) in our heads also need blood. We think with our brains. If we keep our bodies healthy, take exercise, and we can think better!
Our bodies also need air to work well. Without air we will die. Get up early in the morning and we can have plenty of clean, fresh air. That will keep us healthy and happy.

After many years of research and practice, Han Zheming has managed to perfect the skill, creating tea art in cups, or dian cha in Chinese, which used to be a ritual (仪式) during the Song Dynasty (960—1279).
Over the past six years, the 40-year-old Shanghai man has used tea and spoons to create nearly 200 patterns (图案) based on ancient paintings.
“It is similar to the foam (泡沫) on top of a cup of coffee, except that it is made of tea rather than milk,” Han says. He wants to bring the old ritual back to modern life and have more people understand its beauty. “It’s like adding bells and whistles to tea and giving people a stronger sense of ritual, so drinking tea is more fun,” Han explains. “Dian cha in modern tea making also improves the taste of tea.”
In the Song Dynasty, the common way of having tea was through dian cha. The process begins with hot water being poured over fine tea to create a paste (糊状物), then more hot water is slowly added and the tea is repeatedly whisked (搅拌) by hand with a bamboo stick.
This action of pouring hot water is called dian, and that’s how the name dian cha appeared. It usually needs whisking the mixture between 180 and 200 times before the water and the tea are fully mixed and the foam appears. Then, one can begin to make artistic designs on the foam.
It is believed that this way later spread to other parts of East Asia, including Japan, where similarities can be seen in the way matcha is prepared today.
Han has always been fascinated by the culture and art of the Song Dynasty under the influence of his mother. In order to bring back the ancient art to life, Han often goes to museums to study Song paintings. “When it comes to traditional painting, it is about the soft brush against the hard paper, but with the tea, it is the other way round,” Han says. “It’s the hard spoon against the soft foam.” Han added, “It has to be careful but quick work, before the foam disappears.”
