Think of life as a game in which you are playing with five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit and you keep all of them in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce (弹跳) back.

But the other four balls, family, health, friends and spirit, are made of glasses. If you drop one of these, they will be broken. They will never be the same. You must understand that and try to have balance in your life. How?

Don’t look down on your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different and each of us is special.

Don’t let other people set goals for you. Only you know what is best for yourself.

Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don’t be afraid to fight difficulties. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible. The quickest way to receive love is to give it; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly (紧紧地). And the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but also where you are going.

Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless. It’s a treasure you can always carry easily.

Don’t use time or words carelessly. You can’t get them back. Life is not a competition, but a trip, step by step.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift: that’s why we call it “the present”.

The teen years can be a stressful time for both teenagers and their family. While everyone has stress, teens have new and different kinds of stress they may have never before had. As a parent, you play an important role in helping your teens to deal with stress.

Talk to your teens when you notice signs of stress. Some of the signs that make your teens get stressed out might include unhappiness, worry or physical illness. Ask them what you can do to help. Talking to them can be helpful.

Advise your teens to get enough physical exercise. Exercise reduces (减少) the production of stress chemicals in the body and helps to sleep well. Ask your teens what kind of activity they think they might enjoy—that way, they’ll be more likely to keep practicing it.

Help your teens manage their daily activities by making a timetable. Many teens feel stressed because they feel like they don’t have enough time in the day, so they have too much pressure. Make a timetable that includes enough time for homework and family time.

Make sure that your teens can get enough sleep each night. A lack (缺少) of sleep can cause feelings of stress. Most teens need between 8.5 and 9. 25 hours of sleep each night. Make sure your teens have a comfortable quilt, set a bed and wake time. Don’t let your teens drink coffee, tea, soda and chocolate, close to bedtime.

To stay safe during the time of coronavirus (冠状病毒), we have to give up many things we enjoy. But without physical touch, we might become lonely, sad and even sick. So, if you feel you need a hug, there is something you can safely put your arms around and hold close: A tree!

It may sound strange, but humans have been using nature therapy (治疗) for years. The Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku is an example. Shinrin means forest in Japanese, and yoku is the Japanese word for bath. It just means spending time in nature: listening to its sounds, breathing the fresh air, and connecting to nature with your heart.

Recently, Israel has been promoting (促进) ) tree hugging on social media. “We recommend to people around the world to go out to nature, take a deep breath, hug a tree, show your love and get love.” In Israels Apollonia National Park, some visitors happily hug the trees.

Iceland Forest Service also did things like this in April. They advised people to hug a tree for at least five minutes every day.

【推荐3】People can find jobs in many ways. Sometimes you can find a job easily, by walking into a local store and looking at its notice board. Local stores often have areas for people to put small signs telling the services that they need or they can provide. Such services include looking after children or cleaning houses.

Another popular tool for finding a job is the Internet. For example, people around the world can use the Craigslist Website to buy things, meet people or find a job. It is said that the site can receive two million new jobs each month.

Another useful way to find a job is through a university. For example, students at the University of Texas can go to the school job center to get help. Many college students like this way better.

Sometimes, some experts can also help people find a job. Susan Miller has her own company called California Job Services in Los Angeles. She says her company helps people find a job by first helping them understand their abilities, goals and interests. Then she provides them with methods to help them find the right jobs. So with her help, many people have succeeded in finding a good job.
