Artificial Intelligence (人工智能) or AI is very useful in many different fields to perform certain tasks, including education, heavy industry, toys and games and so on.
Education
There are a number of companies that create robots to teach subjects to children, ranging (范围) from biology to computer science. With the help of AI, MOOC, or Massive Open Online Course, allows students from around the world to take classes online. Though such tools have not become popular yet.
Heavy Industry
Robots have become common in many industries, and are often given jobs that are considered dangerous to humans. Repetitive (重复的) jobs may lead to mistakes or accidents while robots can be very helpful to avoid them.
Toys and Games
Companies like Mattel have been creating AI-enabled toys for young people, even for kids aged three. Those toys are able to understand conversations, give smart answers and learn quickly. AI has also been used in video games, for example, video game bots (视频游戏机器人), which are designed (设计) to fight against you in the game.

Should we use artificial intelligence (AI) in schools? Some people may say no, but many experts (专家) think we should use it in a good way. They say AI can help us learn better.
Zheng Qinghua, president of Tongji University, said it’s important for us to use AI at schools. He believed that AI could help us learn new things and get better at what we study. He also suggested that young people should improve their understanding of the knowledge created by technology.
In fact, AI has already become more and more important for teaching and learning. Zheng stressed the wide spread use of different model such as Ernie Botan, an AI chatbot (聊天机器人) developed by Baidu. It can write papers, solve science problems and do homework.
Students also used AI for their study. A survey online showed that 89 percent of students had used ChatGPT to help them do homework.
However, some worry that it may bring the problem of academic integrity (学术诚信) and bad influence on education. Instead of simply using AI to give answers or finish homework and tests, people should focus on using AI to help students be creative and have the ability of solving real-world problems, said Zheng.
Colin Bailey, president of Queen Mary University of London, said that as ChatGPT develops fast, stopping AI from being used in schools is not the answer. Instead, we should think about how to use it safely and in the right way.
To make it come true, people around the world are working on rules to make sure AI is used in a good way. In the US, people are making a plan to protect people’s rights with chatbots. China has also done something for managing AI services.

When you sleep, can you realize that you are dreaming? If yes, then you are having a lucid dream (清醒梦). This is hard for most people to do. Only some people are able to do this. Now, scientists have found ways to help more people have lucid dreams, Live Science reported.
A professor from the University of Adelaide (阿德莱德) in Australia found that certain skills are key to helping people have lucid dreams.
First, people train themselves to find out whether they are dreaming or not. People can practice a trick for this in real life. For example, someone may look at a clock, look away, and then look back. The time should stay the same. Then, they might dream about this trick while sleeping. But in their dream, the time on the clock might change very quickly. So people know they are dreaming.
Another trick is to wake up after five hours of sleep. Then, stay awake for a while. During this time, repeat the words, “The next time I’m dreaming, I will remember that I’m dreaming.” Then, go to bed again to have rapid eye movement (REM,快速眼球运动) sleep. In REM sleep, people are more likely to know they are dreaming.
Scientists found that those who used these tricks had a 17 percent success rate (几率) for having lucid dreams. This was far higher than if they did nothing.
In a lucid dream, people might study a hobby and then become better at that hobby in real life, according to Denholm Aspy, the professor from the University of Adelaide. For example, you might learn to play the piano in a lucid dream. Then, you might play the piano better in real life!
