I’m going to study languages because after college I’m going to work as a language teacher. While at college, I’m also going to take computer lessons because I’m going to use the computer in my work. Also, I’m going to play sports to keep healthy.
I really enjoy travelling, so before starting to work, I’m going to travel. To get the money to travel, I’m going to get a part-time Job. I’m going to save my money for six months, and then I’m going to visit Egypt. I’m going to see the pyramids (金字塔) and ride a camel (骆驼). Of course, I’m going to take lots of photos during my trip so that I can remember it.

Cars, undoubtedly, are one of the most important transportation tools today. They have had a huge(1)________[ˈɪnfluəns] on our daily lives. In my opinion, when it comes to the future of the automobile industry, there are three challenges: accidents, traffic jams and pollution.
The first two challenges can be solved by artificial intelligence(AI) and the Internet of things. These two technologies will make self-driving cars a reality. Cars will drive themselves to their destinations automatically. Thanks(2)__the IT, cars traffic lights and even pedestrians will be connected with each other. Traffic information will be transmitted in real time. For example, if there is roadwork ahead, the AI system will tell the car to change its planned route. This way, traffic jams can be avoided. There will also be fewer accidents caused by careless drivers.
The last challenge, pollution can be solved by exploring new sources of energy. Electric cars are much cleaner than petrol cars. In recent years, electric cars have already become more and more popular. Many people have been driving electric cars. However, new problems, such as pollution caused by old batteries, have been arising. How can we solve these problems? It’s high time we thought about that. There is still a long way for us to go. I believe that with our combined efforts, newer and more reliable technologies will appear. They will help create a brighter future for road transportation.

Some scientists believe that some day submarine will be as many as today’s cars. A famous French driver says “One day, man will walk on the sea floor as they do on the street!”
If humans want to live in the sea, they have to solve a lot of problems first, similar to those of living on the moon, are lack of oxygen (缺氧) and weightlessness (失重). Many questions are hard to solve. For example, what will happen to our bodies if we live in the sea for a very long time? Scientists are looking for answers. Maybe in 50 years man will be able to live in the sea, away from the crowded and noisy cities on land. Man will find it fun and interesting to live in the sea.
And life in the sea is more comfortable. Don’t you think so?

Here is a page from a magazine called Future. Read the following information about things that may happen in twenty years.

New cities will have to be built in the sea. Some cities on water will have two levels (层). People will live on the upper level, and the lower level will be used for traffic, shops and factories.

In many parents’ eyes, their children don’t enjoy doing chores. Even if the room is messy, they like playing computer games rather than sweeping the floor or doing the dishes. But in Australia, Jim and Robert’s mother, Mrs. Black, comes up with good ways to get their children to do housework. Here is an example.
“Mom, have you worked out next week’s chores? Let Jim and me choose the cards. I can’t wait. It’s fun!”
When Robert shouted out, his mother had already put all the cards on their big table. On the cards, there are some words like “sweep the floor, clean your bedroom, help Mom cook, wash vegetables, make the bed, feed the fish, cut the wood, clean the bathroom” and many others. Jim and Robert chose two cards for each day from Monday to Friday. Then they would hang them on the weekday task board. Jim likes to clean the bathroom, so he picked up the card “clean the bathroom”. Robert loves to make the bed so he picked up his favorite card. Jim again picked up “wash vegetables” and Robert chose “feed the fish”. Soon the two boys were happy to take away all the cards.
To help the children develop their independence, their mother thought hard and ended up with this idea of encouraging them to do chores. Of course, the parents did the chores on weekends and left Jim and Robert two days free.

How do you study for exams (考试)? Different students have different ways. Some of my friends are sharing their ideas.
Angela: I often study very hard before exams. I don’t play sports or games in the exam week. And I don’t go out often. I study for hours at night. I don’t go to sleep before 12 o’clock, so I always don’t have enough sleep. But it seems I need to change, because I usually want to sleep when I have exams. Of course I fail some of them. I feel bad!
Haitao: Before exams, I study very hard, too. I buy lots of books and do the exercises in them. Sometimes when I really get tired, I tell myself that I must do them. I think if I practise more, I can do better. But sometimes I feel more confused (困惑的) after doing the exercises. I can’t remember the answers. I don’t know why.
Andy: I never study late. And I don’t do many exercises. I always read my notebooks carefully the day before the exam. And I have enough food and sleep. I don’t think scores are important. I just try my best. Do I get good grades? Yes, I usually do.
