Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a wonderful place to visit. Every year, over one million people visit Hawai Volcanoes National Park.
There are two of the world’s most amazing volcanoes (火山) in it. One is among the most active volcanoes on the earth, the other is one of the biggest mountains on the earth. Both of them are active volcanoes. Every day, on the island of Hawali, lava (熔岩) comes out slowly from a volcano on the edge (边缘) of the ocean. When the lava cools, it turns into rock and makes this island a little bigger. Visitors can see the land change before their eyes.
There are many interesting things to do in the park. It has lava tubes (隧道) that go to the sea. They are so big that visitors can walk through them. You can drive along a volcano or walk more than 150 miles (241 km) of trails (路径). Biking along the volcano’s paths and camping in the rainforest are also good choices.
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is home to wildlife. There are hundreds of protected animals, such as turtles, bats, insects, and many kinds of birds. The park also has many protected plants and trees. Almost all of its plants are found only in Hawail. Many plants have lived in and around the volcanoes for years.
Enjoy — but watch your step! It’s almost impossible to know when a volcano will erupt (喷发). However, when the volcanoes possibly erupt, parts of the park close. This special park is never quiet for long.

All members of the Shenzhou XI, appeared on television screens watched by millions of students across China at 4 pm, saying they were happy to share scientific facts about space flight with students. During the 41-minute lesson, the astronauts carried out four experiments(实验)to show physical phenomena only possible in micro-gravity(微重力).
In the first experiment of the class, Wang Yaping used a ball. “It looks like an ice ball, but as I touch it, I can feel that it’s warm,” Wang told the class.
Another micro-gravity experiment showed how to separate oil from water in space. Wang prepared a small bottle of oil and water, which were separated at the beginning, while the students on the ground also had such bottles, allowing them to follow the experiment. The teacher in space and the students on earth all shook bottles to mix oil and water into a fluid(液体)mixture. The students found their mixture gradually separated into oil and water again, but the fluid in space remained as a mixture.
At last, WangYaping used a toy of Bing Dwen Dwen, the popular mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, to show how objects fly in a weightless environment.

If you want to have a pet, you can buy one from a pet shop but you must be careful not to buy a sick animal. It is better if you know something about the pet you want. However, if you do not have much money and know very little about animals, you can visit the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) (皇家防止动物虐待协会).
The RSPCA was set up in England in 1821. Its aim is to make sure that all animals are treated (对待) with kindness. The RSPCA in Hong Kong carries out this aim. The RSPCA officers collect animals which have no homes and are left in the street. They look after them until they are healthy again. Laurence J. Brahm, a filmmaker from the United States, explored (探索) this question in Searching for Kung Fu. In the movie, Brahm traveled to cities in China and the US in search of the value of kung fu.
Brahm himself is a kung fu lover who has been practicing the art for more than 40 years. To him, it is more than a pastime. Ages ago, Brahm was unable to use one of his legs for two years. But by practicing martial arts (武术), he was able to recover step by step. Now, kung fu has become a daily activity for him and also the way he begins the day.
Still, there are other deep meanings in the practice. Nonviolence is one value, which is shown both in the name and practice of kung fu. The Chinese character Wu has two parts — ge (戈), meaning “to fight”, and zhi (止), meaning “to stop”. So, the meaning of kung fu in Chinese is the art of stopping fighting, the art of nonviolence. Kung fu artists always greet people with baoquan. This lets each person know that there are no hidden weapons (隐藏的武器) and shows trust.
“The traditional values of kung fu, actually, are in the minds of all Chinese people,” Brahm told Xinhua.
