The erhu has become more popular among Hollywood filmmakers. Many composers, directors and producers feel that this instrument can add color and emotion to their films. In the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, the erhu can be heard in Chow Yun-Fat’s scenes.

The erhu also appears in Kung Fu Panda. When people watch these movies, they can enjoy the sound of the erhu. The erhu is often called Chinese violin, but in many ways they are different. Like the violin, the erhu is stringed(有弦的) instrument made of natural wood and played with a bow, but the violin has four strings and the erhu has only two. While the violin is played horizontally(水平地), the erhu is played vertically(垂直地). The sounds made by both instruments are different.

The erhu is said to date back to the Tang Dynasty(AD 618-907). In classical Chinese music, the erhu is known for its sad sound. The most famous erhu piece is Moon Reflected on Second Spring. It was written by a musician who was blind and lived most of his short life as a homeless person.

During the 2016 Rio Olympics, people were surprised to see the round, purple marks on the body of the famous American swimmer Michael Phelps.     1     In fact, he just visited a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and had “cupping (拔火罐)”.

Massage (推拿) and acupuncture (针灸) are two other important kinds of TCM. Chinese massage can make you relaxed and fresh. Acupuncture takes away pain, though the look is funny.

    2     The earliest medical classic in China, Huangdi’s Classic on Medicine, came out more than 2, 000 years ago. The book is about the relationship between man and nature. In Chinese culture, yin and yang are the two parts of nature. Nature keeps balanced if yin and yang work well together. The human body needs such a balance, too. TCM helps to do that. Quite specially, for some health problems, a doctor of TCM will not give you medicine.     3     For example, it is common to eat on the way to school, at our desk, or in front of the TV. But TCM thinks it’s wrong. Here are the correct ways. Sit down to eat. While eating, turn off the TV and get away from the work desk. Eat seasonal foods.     4     Also, get your body moving often, just as the saying goes, “Running water is never stale (不新鲜)”.

Nowadays, traditional Chinese medicine is becoming more and more popular around the world. A government report says that people in 183 countries and areas are now using TCM.

【推荐1】Anger is a kind of feeling. Many things can make you angry. When your teacher gives you too much homework, when your team loses an important game or when a friend breaks your favourite thing, you may be angry.

Usually, your body will tell you when you are angry. For example, you breathe faster, your face turns red, and you may want to break something or hit someone. But sometimes you hide your anger. For example, you may hide it in your heart. But if you do this, you may get a headache or a stomach ache (胃痛).

In fact, it’s not good for you to hide your anger. You can let it out in the right way, without hurting others or yourself. When you get angry, you can talk about it with your parents, teachers, etc.

When you talk about anger, those bad feelings can start to go away. Here are some other things you can do when you start to feel angry: talk to a good friend, count from 1 to 100, give someone a hug, go for a bike ride or think about good things.

Remember that how you act when you are angry can make everything better or worse. Don’t let your anger control you.

not letting someone play in a group

Cyberbullying happens online and includes:

If someone is not kind of you, tell an adult who you know and like. For example, talk to parent or a teacher.

If you get bad messages, don’t reply. You should save them and give them to your teacher, your family or the police. Ask an adult for help. Don’t share something before you make sure it is true. That will stop the cyberbullying.

Talk to your parents or teacher or an adult if you are worried about a friend.

Say sorry if you are not kind to someone. You can write a message or talk to the person. And always remember: think about how to be kind in the future.

Robots are also used in American hospitals. They can do simple jobs. At one hospital, for example, a robot takes meals from the kitchen to patients’ rooms. It never gets lost because this robot has a map of the hospital in its electronic brain.

Though robots can help people in many different ways, they will never take the place of humans.
