A lot of people saw the accident. They quickly came around the bus to move it. As time went by, more and more people joined them. They tried their best to help the man. “People kept coming to help. It was all about saving the person first,” a man said. The bus was over 10,000 kg. But thanks to the helpers, the biker got free very soon. People took him to the hospital quickly.
Later, someone put a video (视频) of people working together to help the electric bike rider on the Internet. Lots of people across the country watched it and they felt happy. They showed thanks to those people. They said, “Many hands make light work, as the old saying goes.”

March is famous for Lei Feng Day and Tree Planting Day. Both of them are aimed to show humans’ kindness and friendship. It’s a way to show others how much they matter.
So this year, why not think about the different ways that you can show some extra kindness? Helping other people is guaranteed to make you feel happy, and here are a few easy ways to spread some love.
You don’t have to spend money or buy gifts to show old people that they’re important. Giving your time is also really valuable. You could help at a fundraising (筹备资金) event, have a weekly video call with a grandparent and look after them when they feel lonely.
Charities work hard to raise money so that they can help people. So dropping some spare coins into a donation box or sponsoring a friend or family member can make a big difference. Don’t forget, you can also donate clothes and toys that you've grown out of to your local charity shop.
People always notice a thoughtful or considerate act, whether it’s sharing your sweets or making a cup of tea for your grown-ups, small acts of kindness are a great way to make people feel special.
Sometimes we all need a few extra helping hands. Perhaps you could help a younger brother or sister with their homework, wash an elderly neighbor’s car or offer to collect up books at the end of lesson. It might only take a few minutes, but it could make a big difference to someone’s day.
A. DonatingB. A helping hand
C. Buying gifts

On October 28, 2018, a serious traffic accident happened in Chongqing. A bus and a red car collided (碰撞) at the second bridge of the Yangtze River. The bus ran out of control on the bridge and crashed into the river. All 15 passengers and the driver in the bus were killed. At the beginning of the accident, many people doubted that the red car was going the wrong way, causing the bus to fall into the river. Others guessed that the accident was caused by the driver’s sudden illness. However, a few days later, based on the black box saved from the scene of the accident, together with the traffic records, the police announced the truth. Before the bus reached the bridge, a female passenger had a quarrel with the bus driver because she missed her station, but the driver refused to stop the bus. So they got into a fight. Because the speed was very high, the bus was out of control. People from all walks of life paid more attention to the accident and expressed their opinions. Some people think the woman passenger made the trouble without reason. She was regarded as the chief culprit(罪魁祸首). She shouldn't argue with the driver. Some people think drivers shouldn't fight with passengers and they should keep calm and put the passengers’ safety first at any time. As for the other passengers, they failed to dissuade (劝阻) them in time. Maybe they didn’t know the result would be so serious. Nowadays, hundreds of people die or get injured(受伤的) on the roads every year in China. In my opinion, all of us should follow the rules and put the safety in our heart. |

As the vehicle (车) carrying Yuan’s body drove to the mortuary, people gathered along the road to say goodbye to him.
On China’s Twitter—like Sina Weibo, the news has been viewed 950 million times so far with netizens (网民) from all walks of life expressed sadness at the death of a great man. He devoted his life to the research of hybrid rice, helping billions achieve food safety.
Globally, more than 820 million people were hungry in 2018, according to a UN report. And if hybrid rice is planted in half of the world’s 147 million hectares (公顷) of fields, the additional production alone can feed another 500 million people, said Yuan.
Yuan once said he had two dreams—to “enjoy the cool under the rice crops taller than men” and that hybrid rice could be grown all over the world to help solve the food scarcity (短缺).

“There are all kinds of projects you can take part in and all kinds of records for you to set,” said ninth-grader Liu, “I choose Domino Tower because I have the most confidence in this.”

“The game requires you to be calm and patient. If you lose your temper(脾气) when the tower falls. you may lose the chance to win.”
Seventh-grader Wang set a record for the longest juggle(颠球) of a soccer ball with one foot.
He did it for 4 minutes and 34 seconds.“I started to play soccer at 5 and have been practicing juggling for three or four years, so I’m confident I can do it well,”said Wang. ”Juggling with only one foot needs good balance and stability(稳定性), which I’m good at. You also need to train hard for sure.”
When asked if he was afraid that someone else would break his record one day, Wang said he was expecting that to happen. “The charm(魅力) of Guinness Campus is that we keep reaching higher goals.
