The world is a book, and those who do not travel only read one page. Travelling the world can help us to better understand it. With this idea in mind, I began my journey to Yunnan.

When I reached the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. I felt the cold air. Even though it was summer, I felt like it was still winter there! The road to the top was so long and the weather was so foggy that it was hard to go on. I had to stop several times to take a small break. Finally, I reached the top with great excitement. Looking around, I could hardly believe my eyes. The mountain was covered in snow and shone like glass in the rising sun. And everything looked wonderful. Looking at the beautiful, natural sights. I felt smaller than an ant. What an amazing feeling!

After climbing the snowy mountain, I visited Lijiang, an old city with a history of about 800 years. When I walked on the stone path, it felt like walking through a long history step by step. Along the way, I noticed that the houses looked old and beautiful. I really love the city and its slow lifestyle.

What makes a great summer? Going to the beach and eating ice cream. In the new Pixar (皮克斯) film Luca, the answer is friendship. The film came out (上映) in China on Aug 20th.

Luca is a 13-year-old sea monster. He thinks life in the sea is quiet and boring, and he wants to know about life on land (陆地). So one day, he leaves the sea. He meets another sea monster named Alberto. He knows a lot about human (人类) world and he likes talking about it. They go to an Italian (意大利的) town and have an adventure. In Italy, they meet Giulia. She is an outgoing human girl. She doesn’t have friends in her town. But later, she teams up (结队) with the sea monster boys.

People called the film “Pixar’s sweetest story in a very long time.” There is a warm friendship in the film. It also shows a beautiful Italian town and a world under the sea. Do you want to see it?

Tom and Becky in the cave

Tom and Becky walked into the cave.（A）They held their candles high and saw some names and dates. Some people wrote them on the walls before. Suddenly they were in a part of the cave without any writing on the walls. They used candle smoke to write their own names on the rock and then walked on.

Soon they came to a little stream of water. The cave wall looked like a frozen waterfall. Tom went behind the stone waterfall and found an opening in the rock. They started to walk down into the earth. （B）他们往洞里越走越深。 Tom and Becky made many candle smoke marks on the walls to show the way back. It was exciting.

They soon found themselves in a（C）huge open space that was（D）________ of bats. There were thousands of them. The light from their candles woke（E）________ the bats, and they flew at the candle flames. Tom knew this was dangerous, so he took Becky’s hand to hurry her away, but one of the bats followed and put out Becky’s handle with its wings. The bats followed them for a long time, but Tom and Becky ran into every new passage that they came to, and （F）at last they got away from the bats.
