On September 16th, 2022, some students are showing their car on a US tour to universities and companies from the East Coast to Silicon Valley.
It is a kind of sporty car but it is the special one. It is called ZEM, short for zero emission mobility, as the beginning letter of the name shows it gives out zero carbon. It has two-seater houses with battery box, and most of its parts are 3D-printed from second hand things.
“We are just to make a better and clearer future,” said Jens Lahaije, a manager of the Eindhoven University of Technology student team that made the car.
Compared with common cars, such battery electric cars give out no CO2, but battery can also make our air around us dirty and dangerous. So, the cost of doing with it isn’t low.
Cleaning the air by getting CO2 in is a pretty new way for a car. The students made it come true in this kind of car, ZEM. The idea is quite useful: while driving, the air will move through cars and the CO2 will be got in.
The Eindhoven team thought ZEM uses two machines that get 2 kgs of CO2 over 32,186 kms of driving, later these machines can be emptied at stations when they take in more electric to let the car work.
As for carbon emissions, the European Union made strict rules years ago, and most European car companies began to move to electric cars, but they didn’t make more wonderful cars than that one, ZEM.

Paul Roberts, a 15-year-old boy, lives in New York. Like thousands of other American students, he usually goes away to a summer camp during the school holidays.

According to a recent research, more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food goes to waste in Laura’s country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply. It is a sad fact, especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.
Every day when Laura saw her school dining hall throw away food that was not eaten at all, she came up with an idea. She started a project to help her school dining hall to donate uneaten food to homeless shelters in her community. Astronauts in space just got a tasty delivery. It came from students in Melbourne, Australia. They are starting a test on space yogurt. The 40 high school students are working with the scientists from Swinburne University. Together, they are studying bacteria that produce yogurt.
In December 2021, a rocket delivered the bacteria to the International Space Station（ISS）. The students are hoping to learn what will happen to bacteria on the ISS.
