3 . On August 5, 2021, Quan Hongchan, a 14-year-old Chinese player, made history at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. In the women’s 10-meter platform final (10米跳台决赛), she got full marks in three of her five dives (跳水) and won first place.

As the youngest player of the Chinese team in Tokyo, Quan did better than her 16-year-old teammate Chen Yuxi who won second place, and Melissa Wu of Australia won third place. In the final, Quan hardly made ripples (涟漪) in the water and got 466.2 points, the best result ever in the game.

5 . Many Chinese know Zhong Nanshan as the hero who beat SARS in 2003. People share his pictures and words online, saying they believe every word Zhong says. He has given Chinese people confidence in winning this fight.

Zhong grew up in a family of doctors. His goal has always been to save as many lives as possible. In 2003, when SARS hit China, he volunteered to treat patients. 8 . Do you know Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng? Fei Junlong was born in 1965. He is a Chinese astronaut selected(选拔)as a member of the Shenzhou program.
