Travelling is Jane’s favourite. She has been to many places of interest in the world with her family. Last year they went to London.

It was an early Friday morning. They took a taxi to the train station and took a train to London. When they arrived in London, they visited the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, the British Museum and many other places of interest. They enjoyed themselves in London for a week. They had a lot of interesting experiences during the trip. The most interesting one was that they met a parrot in a pet shop. In the pet shop, they saw a parrot with a red string tied (系) to its left leg and a green string tied to its right leg. They asked the owner why the parrot had these strings tied to its legs. “Well, this is a well trained parrot. If you pull the red string, he speaks English; if you pull the green string, he speaks French,” answered the shop owner.

“And what will happen if I pull both?”

“It will fall down.”

Accidents often happen around us. So a first aid kit (成套用品) is necessary (必须的). A first aid kit is one of the most important things in every family. Making your own first aid kit will help keep you and your family safe. You need do the following things.

·Find a box

To find a box is the first thing. The box is large and strong enough to hold all the medical supplies (医用物品) You will put all the supplies inside.

·Prepare the supplies

After finding the box, it’s time to prepare all the medical supplies. Having a first aid kit will be useful during serious injuries (伤) and if you should take quick actions in time, it will be useful as well. So it is best to fill your kit with necessary things.

·Write important information

Once you have all the medical supplies, print first aid rules on how to stop bleeding (出血), how to call for help, and so on. You can also write down other helpful phone numbers besides 120 on your note.

·Pack (打包) your kit

Pack everything inside the box. Everything must be easy to find and reach at the same time.

★Feel comfortable. Always be clean. Shower，brush your teeth，and try to look nice. Dress in clean clothes. They must make you feel good and comfortable. Those make you feel more confident (自信的).

★Smile more often.Try to smile more often at people. It will make them think that you are friendly. Then they'll talk to you more even if they don't know you.

★Just talk.Some people worry about talking because they think,“What am I going to talk about with that person?” Outgoing people don't even think about it. They just go up to people and say what they think.

★Listen to people.You can't just talk. People will think that you're self-centered(以自我为中心的).Yo have to listen to others and give your ideas. Let them know what you think.

★Read the news.Don't just stay at home and do nothing. Surf the Net for news and information，and tall about them when you’re with friends.

There are millions of children in the world but there aren't many children like Aisha or Rick. On tonight's programme, we talk to two Britain's gifted (有天赋的) children about their daily life.

Aisha Patel is 11. Just like other British 11-year-old children, Aisha usually gets up at seven o'clock. She starts school at nine o'clock and she's never late. But, there's a difference. Aisha's very clever: she has an IQ of 150—a "normal (正常的)" IQ is 100! In her free time, she designs (设计) computer games. She also speaks six languages, plays the cello and paints beautiful pictures. And she has time to meet her friends.

Rick Moore is 10, and he also has an IQ of 150. He plays the piano and he sometimes writes music too—he wants to be a top composer (作曲家). He always gets up very early to play the piano, around half past five in the morning. He wants to play the piano all day, but he can't do that because he goes to school and he has homework—he always does his homework. He often goes to bed at half past eleven.
