1 . The British Museum is one of the biggest museums in the world. There are so many things in the museum to see: clocks that have been telling the time for 600 years, Roman money, some of     1    (early) books in the world and so on.

The British Museum was set up nearly 300 years ago     2     a doctor, Sir Hans Sloane. The man liked to collect things such as books, drawings, clothes, money     3     flowers. He hoped that his things would be kept well. And he also wanted people to visit the place after his     4    (dead).

    5     (he) wish came true, and     6     museum opened in 1759, six years after Sir Hans Sloane died. Later, more antiques (古董) arrived at the museum, and more people wanted     7    (visit) it. Since its opening, many famous people wrote and studied there. It is now open every day of the year, except for two holidays(New Year's Day and Christmas).

Small machines tell you     9     the museum as you walk about it, and you can look and listen at the same time. In o    5    to save the old village, Grandpa Huang painted on the walls of his own house and other houses. He painted things that he liked. In the village, there were many paintings of a    6    , such as cats and birds. The most p    7    paintings for visitors were famous people. One of them was a picture of Andy Lau, my f    8     singer. I liked him very much. It is said that Grandpa Huang painted the super s    9     because he is also a great fan of them.

I really had a w    10    time in the village and wished to visit it again.

Shenzhen Metro Group will begin to offer night train service on Line 11, especially for the air passengers     1     arrive in Shenzhen after 11 p.m.

Two or three trains     2     (add) to the line and they will operate at an interval (间隔时间) of 10-17 minutes. It is more convenient for air passengers to use the Metro service.

Nearly six months after     3     (open), Line 11 now deals with about 250,000 passengers a day and around 30,000 people use the Airport Station     4     day.

The train intervals of Line 11 will be shortened to seven minutes and 50 seconds.

The change in the operation schedule will increase Line 11's passenger handling ability     8     9 per cent during rush hours.

It was a great disaster (灾难) for Australian    10    (farm).
