The journey of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was marked by many important things.

The places of these things now also become “red revolutionary bases (革命圣地)”. The “red spirit” has a deep     1     on lots of Chinese people, both old and young.

For example, the CPC’s birthplace of Jiaxing in Zhejiang is     2     popular symbol of courage and pioneering (先锋) spirit. Jinggangshan in Jiangxi is known     3     the “cradle (摇篮) of the Chinese revolution”. Mao Zedong started the first revolutionary base there.

Other     4     such as Yan’an in Shaanxi and Linyi in Shandong are also “old revolutionary bases”. The CPC worked together with people to     5     against wars. A hundred years have passed,     6     these “revolutionary bases” have changed greatly. Some of them are no longer     7     villages, and others become popular tourist areas. There are many young people having grown up. They are     8     their best to work for their hometowns in many ways.

How are the young people from these places influenced by “red spirit”? How do they carry out the spirit in     9     daily lives? To answer these questions, TEENS has interviewed several local young people. “Their stories showed that the ‘red spirit’ would never be out of time. It will keep     10     us to work hard, feel thankful and serve others,” Wang Jie, a young man said.

Vibrant and versatile are the right words not only to brand Shenzhen’s personality traits, but also to describe its natural beauty. While newcomers     1     (impress) by the lush(茂盛的) green and the diverse landscape beauty of the city.

He said it all started in 2014 when he arrived in Shenzhen for the first time. From his 18th floor balcony in Baishizhou, he looked towards Hong Kong and saw the beautiful park     4     he later came to know as Shenzhen Bay Park.”

The park covers     5     18-kilometer-long stretch of the land along the southern coast of Shenzhen on the north shore of Shenzhen Bay, starting at the west near Shenzhen Bay Bridge and ending at the Hongshulin Nature Reserve. If you are a landscape photographer, the park has many     6     (opportunity) for you. Recommended locations to enjoy the sunrise are     7     Dasha River Park Road meets Shenzhen Bay Park and the park entry point near the Shenzhen Bay Park Metro Station. If you are doing business about electronics today, you are sure to know about Shenzhen. For me, I am     1     Indian. My company     2     (success) sold the products made in Shenzhen in India, and that brought me to Shenzhen.

Shenzhen is one of China’s Special Economic Zones (经济特区) set up in the 1980s. It has grown to be a city famous     3     electronic products. Shenzhen is a modern city. You can get around in a taxi,     4     using metros or buses is much cheaper and more convenient. I visited only parts of Futian, Nanshan, and Luohu districts during my stay.

The     5     (one) place I visited in Shenzhen was the shopping area     6     sells almost all kinds of electronics at reasonable prices. In the evening, I hung out with my friends in that area and had great fun     7     (speak) to folks from the US, Germany, Australia and other     8     (country). In a word, we     9     (impress) deeply.

Although my trip was short, my visit to Shenzhen gave me a much     10     (clear) picture of this city. I am looking forward to my next visit!

How is going? Now I am in Paris University. The teachers and classmates here are really kind and p    1    . They help me in many ways. So I can get on well with them quickly.

I have visited some places of interest here. For e    2    , the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower. Yesterday, I c    3     the stairs to the top of the tower and got a bird’s-eye view of the city. You cannot i    4     how beautiful it was.

I also like the food here. By the way, French wine is p    5     the most delicious in the world. I will give you some as gifts.

The summer holiday is coming. During this holiday, I will go to Xi’an     1     my parents. To have a wonderful trip, I’m planning for it now.

We are going to     2     some famous places. We will go to Dayan Pagoda first. Dayan Pagoda is an excellent building. It has     3     long history of over 1,000 years. Xi’an is famous for this building, and lots of tourists go to do some     4     there every year. We’ll     5     five days staying in Xi’an. I’m sure that we can have     6     during the trip.

And     7     , we will leave Xi’an for my uncle’s house in Beijing. My uncle is a good cook. He always cooks delicious meals for us when we go to visit him. And he is also a good TV news reporter(新闻报道员). I really like to talk with him     8     I can learn many new things from him. And we will live in his house for one week. Then, we will fly home. I think my plan is very good, and all of us must have a great time during this holiday.

This winter holiday, I will take a trip with my family. We will fly to Shanghai t    1    .

When we arrive there, we will go to the Bund. It’s where traditional Shanghai meets modern Shanghai. The next day, we will take a bus to Disneyland. It is said that the workers there are very f     2     . If you like cartoons, it is an amazing place for you. After that, we will go to the Old City God’s Temple. We will get different s     3     there. But it is not as clean as before, because some people like to p    4     it. When we visit there, we should not throw rubbish everywhere and we should protect the environment.
