1 . Mark Zuckerberg wears a pink coat and walks the runway (时装秀伸展台). Former US president Donald Trump falls over while getting arrested (逮捕). These pictures have recently gone viral (疯传的) online. They have one thing in common—they are fake, but look like they are real.

AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E can create such pictures. However, AI tools are not perfect. News outlets (媒体) gave some ways on telling fake pictures.

One way is to look at hands. AI often draws human hands wrongly. Sometimes the number of fingers is wrong, and sometimes the shape looks strange. The photos AI uses to learn often show hands in different gestures (姿势), so it isn’t sure what a “hand” really looks like.

We can also pay attention to the details. For example, people in an AI-made image may miss an earring or a part of their glasses. If there’s text in an image such as a poster (海报), the text is usually unreadable.

AI is also terrible at dealing with the background. If there’s a crowd in the image, people’s faces in the corner are usually blurry (模糊的) or they don’t have a face at all!

According to Boom, a website that fights against misinformation, people should slow down on clicking the reposting (转发) button: “Stop, find the source (来源), find trusted coverage (报道), rather than let our first impressions lead us.”

Imagine you are looking at Wang Ximeng’s famous painting from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains (《千里江山图》). Suddenly, its blue rivers ripple (起伏), and its green mountains move. Music draws you into the painting as it comes to life and shares with you its history. This is what happens in Poetic Dance: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting (《只此青绿》), a dance drama based on (基于) the beautiful piece of art.

The show is now showing across China. In the show, one man from the present interacts (互动) with the painter of the past, through his experiences with the painting. Actually, over in the West, dance is used in similar ways to tell cultural stories from history and reinvent (重新创造) them in the modern world.

China’s dance drama tells its story through the power of movement and often stillness (静止). In the show, the dancers arch (拱起) their backs and wave (挥舞) their flowing clothes to move like rivers. In one scene the dancers become huge still rocks. The creativity behind the moves speaks to us in a poetic (诗意的) way. There is a closeness too with a live performance, a shared link between the dancers and the audience (观众).

7 . How to control your own emotion (情绪)? Maybe you can take following steps.

It is important to know what is acceptable (可被接受的) and what is not for others. You should not hurt others, including hurting them with words.

You need to understand big feelings are very normal but your actions caused by these feelings will bring results. Taking a few deep breaths or slowly counting to 10 can give you time to realize your body’s warning signs—whether you have a tense (紧绷的) body or clenched (咬紧的) teeth.

Saying what you wish for helps you open a problem-solving conversation. Of course, your wish won’t always be an acceptable solution for all parties, but you can work out a more peaceful solution together with whom you are angry.

It is okay to ask for help when you don’t feel that you can solve the problem alone. Asking your parents or teachers for advice may help you find better ways.

Sometimes you may still feel angry or upset even having worked through each of the above steps. In these situations it is often better to walk away or to find another safe way to deal with those feelings. Several days later, you may not feel as strongly about what happened.

9 . The jackfruit (菠萝蜜) is a delicious fruit found in certain parts of Asia. But there is more to the fruit than just its taste. When thinking about the fruit’s English name, it is easy to come up with questions like: Who is Jack? And why does he have his own fruit?”

Surprisingly, “jackfruit” isn’t a person’s name at all. The fruit’s name first comes from the southern Indian word chakka pazham, with India thought to be the fruit’s place of origin (起源). Portuguese explorers (葡萄牙探险家) who came to this area went on to call it jaca. It leads us to the now English name of jackfruit according to NPR. Unluckily, no one called Jack has been proven (证明) to have anything to do with it.

There is another food, however, that was directly (直接地) named after a person—the sandwich. In the 18th century, playing card games late into the night became popular in British high society. John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, started the habit of ordering pieces of cold beef between two pieces of bread. This was meant to be a late-night snack without having to leave the gaming table or use a knife and fork.
