The environment has become worse and worse, so the government carry out the action of “Green Changchun”. As middle school students, we should do something to improve it.

All in all, it’s everyone’s duty to protect the environment of our hometown. I am sure that if we try our best to do so, we can make Changchun a better and greener city.

When I was young, I liked playing in the leaves in the autumn. I liked to fall backwards and my back     1     (touch) something soft. I fell into a huge pile (堆) of freshly fallen leaves. They were dry and had the wonderful smell of autumn. I fell further and further into the pile as the leaves flew over my face and body. 4 . One late autumn day, a man caught a white bear in Finnmark. He wanted to bring it to the king. But when he climbed up the Dovrefell, it was Christmas Eve.

Cold winds brought heavy snow. The man shook with cold. He had to find a place to stay.

On the mountain, there was a house. That was Halvor’s home.

“May I stay for a night with my bear?” asked the man. “I’m afraid not,” said Halvor. “Trolls (绿巨人) come here every Christmas Eve. There’s no room for you and your bear.” “Please! We won’t take up much room.” At the end, Halvor said yes.

It was a warm house. On the table, there was a big meal. “These are for the trolls.” Halvor told the man.

The trolls came. Some were big, some were small. They ate and drank. They enjoyed the food a lot.

At that time, a little troll saw the white bear. She was sleeping beside the fireplace.

The troll walked to the bear. “Kitty, do you want some food?”

The next year, Halvor was busy as usual on the afternoon before Christmas Day. The trolls would come that night, he had to get prepared.
