Today is Thanksgiving Day. Every year for Thanksgiving dinner, we have turkey, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie (南瓜派) and so on. And every year there is Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (游行) in New York City. We all love it!
So this Thanksgiving we went to watch the parade. It began at 9:00 a.m. The star of Thanksgiving, the Tom Turkey float (彩车), came first. The bands and the performers (表演者) followed (跟着). Many big cartoon balloons were in the sky. Of all, I loved the Pikachu (皮卡丘) balloon best. When it came, all the children were very happy. The parade lasted (持续) until noon. And the biggest star is Father Christmas at last. When his sleigh (雪橇) came, it showed that the holiday season is really here.
When the parade was over, I couldn’t feel my feet because it was so cold. Anyway (不管怎样), I had a good time today. That’s enough!
