A trip to the Luofu Mountain

On 9th September, my friends and I went to climb the Luofu Mountain. We looked     1     to the top of the mountain.

At 8:00 am we arrived at the foot of the mountain. We got     2     of the car. We went     3       the gate. Then we came to a pool with beautiful fountain springs. There is a big temple. It is     4       for Buddhism (佛教). Millions of people visit the temple every year.

There are all     5    of plants in the mountain. Most of the trees are several hundred years     6     . Many birds are     7       in the trees. The trees are tall and big. The air is very     8    .

After a long climbing we were all     9     . But we didn’t give up. At 11:50 am we got to the       10    of the mountain at last. We were very happy to enjoy the distant scenery. We took some photos in order to remember the wonderful experience.

On July 24, 2021, an important document (文件)     1     the double reduction (双减) policy was carried out by the Chinese government.

Some parents worry that the policy will lead to worse grades     2     students will have less time to study and get less help from after school training classes. And they can no     3     see the rankings (排名) after each exam. It makes them guess and worried about     4     level their children are at.

Most students and their parents support the policy because it can lower students’     5     stress. However, parents should help with the students to deal with the new challenge of making the     6     use of their time after school when they get home.

Here are some ways     7     students get used to this big change. To start with, students had better make full use of the time at school. They should concentrate on their lessons and solve all the problems just in time. What’s more,     8     a good plan at the start of the day can help students better manage their time. In this way, they will be able to finish doing their homework     9     and better. Finally, they should take up some     10    . But remember to make sure they won’t influence their study and health.

Beethoven was born in Germany in 1770. He was one of the     1     musicians in the world.

It lies in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is surrounded (包围) on three sides by mountains. Many tourist attractions there are worth visiting, such as Su Causeway (堤), Broken Bridge and Leifeng Tower. The scenery is so attractive that visitors often lose     8     in it.

The West Lake has become famous for its special scenery     9     some beautiful poems (诗). These poems were written by Bai Juyi and Su Dongpo. Have you ever     10     to the West Lake? If not, look for a chance to go to the fantastic place.

If you haven’t got a fitness tracker, why not have a try?

Lulu is from Hungarian. She first came to Beijing in 2017. She soon     1     in love with the city. Here, she found her greatest hobby—Peking Opera.

The first time she saw Peking Opera was at an opera museum. “Now I still have a clear     2    . It was really amazing,” she said. “The clothes were beautiful and the movements were so excellent. The face­painting was something I’ve     3     seen before. It is so much different from     4     opera.”

Now, she is in the Peking Opera group at Tsinghua University. The group’s members practice     5     or three times a week and have a full performance on Fridays.     6    , they practice singing and movements.

The     7     problem Lulu faced was learning the Asian way of singing. “At first, I always didn’t feel well     8     my throat, because I was using my voice in the wrong way,” she said. But with the help of teachers, she has     9     a lot already.

There are many     10     from other countries in the group. “I really love it because Peking Opera brings us together,” she said. “I really believe that art and music have no barriers (障碍) in the world, and Peking Opera will get more and more popular among people all over the world.”
