1 . Have you ever thought about what’s more important looking fashionable (时尚的) or feeling comfortable? You might have noticed many people choosing style over comfort and some even go to extremes (极端) to follow fashion. But we should remember: it’s more important to be healthy.
Some people believe that they need to be a cert in size to look good. So, they start extreme diets (日常饮食). They might note at meals or eat too little, which can make them feel sick. Is it a healthy way to live?
Also, many girls wear shoes with very high heels. They might think high heel make them look taller. But these shoes can actually hurt their feet and make it hard to walk comfortably, and it can increase risks of falls, Some even wear tight (紧的) clothes that make it hard to breathe. Should we put fashion over health?
Besides, some boys and girls spend much time and money changing their hair color. The material they use is usually harmful to their heath. To make their hair straight or curly, they also use tools that are hot enough to burn their hair. But using these tools too often can make the hair dry or even burnt. Is it really worth it to risk our health, spending so much time and money?
So, let’s rethink what’s really important. Is it fashion or our well-being? Clothes or hairstyles don’t tell us anything about a person’s character. Instead of spending much time choosing clothes, we could use that time to do fun things with friends. And instead of following extreme diets, let seat properly and exercise regularly. 2 . Project-based learning (项目化学习) is learning while doing. It gives learners the chance to get a deeper understanding of a topic (主题). She wanted to know more about Chinese ancient stories. Well, how did she make it?

Then she shared her project online with friends, and even shared her project on social media. |
Not everyone is a great test taker, but everyone is good at something. Through project work, students can not only learn deeply about a topic, but a so have fun learning. So if you’re interested in something, why not start with project-based learning?

Because I had to leave so early this morning, I wrote this note last night and put it into your lunchbox to wish you well on your speech today. With all of your amazing research, writing, and practice, you are going to do great!
I know that you get a little nervous talking in front of large groups—everybody does. But, just remember what you practiced and you just might forget about being nervous.
Here are just a few things to remember when you are giving a speech:
●Make eye contact (眼神交流) with your classmates.
●Speak clearly and slowly.
●Look at your notecards only when you have to.
●Enjoy yourself! Once you are in front of the class, pretend (假装) that you are a famous expert on your theme and everyone is listening carefully to your EVERY word.
Well, that’s all for now. I am thinking of you today and I know you will do great. Do your best and be brave like George Washington. He was an excellent example for your speech.

We spend six to eight hours a week doing this thing. LindaI organized Miler Senior Technology, a program to help the elderly learn how to use computers and smartphones. Now there are 50 local seniors in the weekly technology classes. I want to make sure that the seniors could stay connected to the world. JordanI came up with a way to help lonely seniors with my friends. We call it Joy 4 All Project. When the elderly call 569-4255, they can hear pre-recorded jokes. The hotline has received more than 1, 800 phone calls. KathyI heard that the seniors in the old people’s home couldn’t see their families and friends very often, so my friends and I decided to cheer up the elderly by writing them letters or visiting them. Lacking of electricity or a phone signal for many years, Tang Zitian and his wife, Li Qinglian, live here to plant trees. They help to breed (培育) 132 kinds of fir (杉木) trees. Their two daughters are raised by their grandparents. Tang and Li regularly walk 20 kilometers to check for fire risks in the forest, and there has not been a single fire since their base was built.
They are also required to record the diameters (直径) of certain trees, and collect seeds and other information of trees. Tang’s diary records the heights and diameters of sample (样本) trees every year, month and day. Every little growth of a tree makes the couple excited.
In 1981, the central government started planting high-producing fir trees on the forest farm.Tang, who was then just 18 years old, was sent to help with the work. Five years later, he married Li, who was also working as a ranger. At that time, they each got paid 1.50 yuan a day. The living conditions were too poor. Many of their co-workers moved to work in cities. But the couple decided to stay there!
