2 . April 1st is a day on which, in some countries, people try to play tricks on others. If one succeeds in tricking somebody, one laughs and says, “April Fool!” and then the person who has been tricked usually laughs, too.
One April 1st, a bus was going along a country road. Then it slowed down and stopped. The driver tried hard to start the bus, but he failed. Then he turned to the passengers with a worried look on his face and said, “This poor bus is getting old. There’s only one thing we can do if we want to get home today. I shall count three, and on the word THREE, I want you all to lean forward suddenly as hard as you can. I believe I can
Several days ago, our school held a meeting to encourage us to fight for the last 100 days.
A pop-up installation（弹出式装置）that looked like a bookstore was open in Shanghai. It drew much attention because of its unusual offering. The 9-square-metre place could hold only six people at a time. The 3000 old books on display were not for sale or loan（借出）. Visitors could only read in the tiny bookstore.
“Our pace of life is getting faster. Today, we can only read books by using fragments（碎片）of time. The way we search for information has also changed from reading books to watching Tik Tok,” said Zhuang Jie, one of the five people behind the installation. “We hope to inspire（激励）visitors to rethink their ways of reading while inside our bookstore. We also want to provide new option（选择）for the young generations（一代人）, who have not experienced much traditional reading.”
During the 15-day display, the bookstore attracted about 500 visitors. Zhuang said that they had never expected so many people. “People were even willing to wait in line to enter. We realized that we might all love to read but just need a window to do it,” he said. The installation also proved to be a hit online. It was among the most searched terms（搜索词）on social platform Sina Weibo. Famous writer, Rao Xueman also mentioned the installation on her Weibo account. She hopes to roll out（推出）a similar project in the future.
Zhuang also said that more installations like this would be open soon. He mentioned these installations might have something to do with old toys and their stories.
