On a freezing December day, I joined a group of volunteers building a library at an elementary school in a small county,     1     the students all lived with their grandparents because their parents were working in     2    (city). The moment we arrived     3     the remote village, we got down to business. After     4    (set) up small tables and chairs for the children to sit on, we moved the     5    (donate) books into a room and organized them on shelves. The work was not fun,     6     when I stepped back and looked at the library we had built, I felt a sense of satisfaction: we had done a great     7     (serve) for the school community. In the afternoon, we delivered a lecture to the students there. Not only     8     we give them tips on how to choose proper books for themselves, but also guided them on how to read different kinds of books.     9     (see) all these eager students buried in books, I was really touched. Creating a library for the students was a satisfying and rewarding experience.

    10     only took one day to build a library, but it will surely make a lasting difference to their lives.
