First，your race packet (参赛物品包) is ready and can be picked up at the Fleet Feet Sports Tulsa location you’ve specified during registration.

Hours for pickup

Tuesday，10 am to 8 pm (Fleet Feet Kings Point)

Tuesday，10 am to 7 pm (BOK Center)

Wednesday，10 am to 5pm (both stores，closing early for Thanksgiving)

Packets can also be picked up on the race day at Fleet Feet Blue Dome, beginning at 8:30 am.

Parking

There is surface parking to the east of the BOK Center, and some surface parking to the west of the Convention Center. Many lots will be pay-lots. Please pay attention to the signs. We suggest arriving early to find parking.

Racing Timing

The 5 kin run will be timed using the BIB-TAG system. Your race number will have a thing device attached to the back of the race number，don’t remove or bend this device. Simply wear the Bib on the front of your body on the outside of your clothing so it is visible and facing forward. You don’t need to return the Bib, which is disposable.

Figure skating(花样滑冰), as we know, got its start in the mid-19th century, when an American     1    (name) Jackson Haines combined dancing and skating for the first time. Americans did   not accept his technique, so he moved to Vienna, Austria,     2     he was an immediate success.

Figure skating became an Olympic sport before there were Winter Games. Events for pairs and singles first     3     (appear) at the London 1908 Summer Games. In singles, each skater performs a short routine(一套动作) of required steps, jumps, spins, and combinations, as well as a longer free-skating routine. The pairs event     4     (follow) the same format (形式), but with one male and one female     5     (perform) together.

Ice dance is performed by one male and one female, too. But     6     (like) pairs, ice dance does not include overhead lifts and jumps. An ice dance     7     (compete) is made up of two parts now: one is set to music which has a certain rhythm, and the other is set to whatever music the ice dancers choose.

A group of nine judges scores the quality of each figure skating performance,     8     only seven out of nine scores are used. Skaters are given a grade for each step, jump, spin, or any other element that is part of their routine. They also receive     9     "overall" score for each performance. The person or team with the     10     (high) total score is the winner.

Most of us say we don't have time for exercise. However, many experts say that exercise plays an important role in making our body healthy.     1     (do) exercise can bring us many advantages. It can reduce weight and the risk of heart disease. Exercise also brings good effects mentally(精神上).It can make us feel     2    (relax)and happy. Actually, exercise can be done in many simple    3     (way). For example, we can take the stairs rather than the lift. Also we can play sports with friends in our free time.

6 . My family moved to St.Paul,Minnesota last year, where the average winter temperature is around 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Once summer ended,everyone went inside to play ice hockey.   I’d been on the ice only a couple of times when I was much younger. When I’d fallen and broken my wrist during my second lesson, I’d decided never to put on ice skates again.

Ben,the friend I made in the new city, volunteered to teach me to skate. Even though he was very patient, I was so embarrassed by my clumsiness that I began to make up excuses for not skating.

One day I discovered a faster route home. It took me past a large frozen pond.I noticed a woman teaching a young girl to skate. The girl was attempting to jump and spin in the air. Over and over, she pushed off the ground with the toe of her skate. And over and over, she landed hard on the ice.After I had been watching the girl practice for about a week, one afternoon she suddenly lifted off the ground, spun in the air,and landed on her feet!

The next day I bought myself some brand new skates. Every day on the way home l stopped at the pond and wobbled onto the ice, right next to the girl who had landed her jump.As she perfected her twists and tricks, I taught myself to glide and turmn. It was hard being a beginner,and when I felt I had to fight the urge to simply give up.Instead,every time I went down, I just picked myself up and started over again. Soon I was able to keep my balance and skate more confidently.In just a few weeks,I was actually ready to practice the speed skating, fast stops,and quick turns needed for ice hockey. When I was finally ready to show Ben my newfound skating ability, he told me I should join the local hockey league.I tried out and was chosen for a team. By the end of the season, I was part of a winning team.
