Last Sunday, our school held a 5km cross-country running race, that attracted many enthusiastic participants, included both students and teachers.
The route went from our school gate to the foot of the South Mountain. About 200 students and 60 teachers participate in the race, which began 9: 00 am and lasted about an hour. The whole course was extreme difficult. However, no participants gave up halfway. All the racers are held on to the finish line.
As the activity was challenging, everyone enjoyed it but benefited a lot from it. Therefore, we both think highly of it, and expect more activity like this in the future.

Football is my favorite sport. I usual play football with my friends after school and join competitions. I have benefited a lot from play football. It helps me keep health and provides me with a way to relax me during stressful school days. Beside, I’ve become braver when facing challenges. It also teaches me good teamwork is the key to success and it has been brought me many friends with a same interest. I was sitting on a train to Shenzhen on the other day. During the journey the middle-aged man suddenly threw up, making those around him extreme upset. The lovely young lady, Miya, sitting near me stepped forward but started talking to him to make sure he was all right. They talked for about 10 minutes, during that time Miya showed such great cares towards that complete stranger. She calms him down and helped him come to the decision seek assistance. On my way to the cinema yesterday evening I suddenly heard someone cried for help. I turned around but saw nothing unusually. Just when a girl ran to me in panic and pointed to the river, saying that someone has fallen into the river. I quickly ran to the river bank and soon found out a drowning boy trying to hold a piece wood in the cold water. Seeing this, I act quickly, taking off my overcoat, jumping onto the water and with great effort pulling the boy onto the bank. With the popularity of cellphones and Internet, some of we students spend too much time playing with cellphones, which is bad for our studies. Worse is still, we have little time to communicating with our parents and friends. So do we have time for physical exercises.

All the students in our school took a part in the Sunshine Sports Programme in the morning of September 29, 2020, from 10: 00 to 11: 00. Morning is a great time to walk. That is beneficial for you to take some regular morning walks, which can ensure our physical and mental health.
During the Men’s 800-metre Race of our school’s sports meeting, Li Hua from Senior 2 soon got well ahead the others and finally ranking first. The crowd were shouting to him when Li Hua fell to the ground and got injury. Many people come to her assistance. The teacher gave him first aid, while some kindly students passed water and a towel to him. In no time, Li Hua recovered. When interviewed, Li Hua expressed his thanks to everyone, saying,“ Injured as I am, but I can feel the warm from my schoolmates.” He was delighted to make contribution to his class.
There are a lot of unforgettable thing in our life. The most unforgettable one for me is the speech competition holding last year. When my English teacher told me that I had chosen to take part in the speech competition, I devoted me to the preparation. I was determined to win the first prize. I was such nervous when I stood on the stage that I forgot everything. Not until I caught a sight of my teacher did I calm down. Finally, I do a good job. When I heard I got the first prize, my heart was filled in joy and tears rolled down. Through this speech competition, I understand that it is confidence which makes people successfully.
