Jim is one of my close friend. Two months ago, his mother buy a computer for him as a birthday present. She hoped Jim will study hard under the help of the computer. To his surprise, Jim just wasted plenty of time play computer games every day. Now she regrets buying the computer. As matter of fact, a computer can do a lot of everyday jobs for us. It is wide used in factories, hospitals, banks and so on. Many computer scientists are now trying to make the computer to “think” like a man. In my opinion, the key is what we should use it wisely.

It was Father’s Day. Having been finished my homework, I together with my sister went to buy some vegetables as well as a gift as planned. We were supposed to giving our father a big surprise. On our way home, we met with Grandpa Li, an old neighbour without children. Suddenly, I came up an idea. Then we went to his home with what we had bought. With his help, we cooked a delicious meal. After that we made a phone call to our parents but told them that we will have lunch at Grandpa Li’s. Hearing what we had done, we were very pleased, saying we were really caring. We helped Grandpa Li do a thorough clean after lunch. Tiredly as we were, we felt we had spent a meaning day. I believe it is a day when will be remembered by me forever in my future life.

It was raining hardly outside, that made it difficult for me to go home for lunch. Just as I was wondering what I should eat at noon, I saw a familiar figure passed by our classroom. I rushed out and it was my mother, who is already in the fifties, that brought me lunch, in spite the heavy rain. In China, many parents make great sacrifices for our children. But what had the children done in return? All too often, most children just take it for granted that their parents should serve for them unconditionally.
