I’ve had my fair share of travelling around China, and a recent week-long trip to Guizhou was my first time to the province. It was     1     true learning experience.

I tried looking     2     the meaning of the name Guizhou in the dictionary before embarking on the trip, basically to have a reasonable idea of     3     was in store for me, but that     4     (be) a hard task, so I inquired from a Chinese colleague among a group of local and foreign     5     (journalist) on the trip. After orbiting Earth for six months, the three crew members of China’s Shenzhou XIII mission departed from the Tiangong space station and returned to the mother planet on Saturday morning, finishing the nation’s    1    (long) manned spaceflight.

During the Shenzhou XIII mission, the crew members also carried out two science lectures for Chinese students. Wang, the first Chinese woman    9    (live) in the Tiangong station, used    10    toy called Bing Dwen Dwen in one experiment to display how objects fly in weightless environment.

She was so     1     (inspire) by the people she met online that she decided to start     2     IT club to teach older people how to use computers and the Internet. She and her friends now organise     3     (event) and collect money to pay for     4     (privacy) teachers. Since then, many people     5     (help) by the club. A 59­year­old man learnt how to apply     6     work online and found a great job. Now that he works and can take care of himself, his daughter has time     7     (study) at university. A 61­year­old woman     8     was living alone has started a small online company together with two friends. All scientists subscribe to the view     1     the increase in the earth’s temperature is due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, natural gas and oil to produce energy. Known     4     “Chinese flying man”, Su has been working hard to achieve his dream. On May 30th, 2015, Su became the first Chinese     5     （run）100m in less than 10 seconds. After that, Su competed in many international events and won a number of     6     （medal）. Sadly, at the same time, he suffered greatly from his     7     （injure）and his determination to go on running     8     （test）. He even planned to leave the field in 2017, but the wish to run in the 100m final in the Olympics brought him back on the field.

In his third Olympic Games, Su,     9     amazing performance excited people both at home and abroad, has finally achieved his long-time goal. Su Bingtian is really a     10     （live）legend and his success will surely encourage more young players in their pursuing their goals.

The Thirty-Six Strategies is originally a collection of ancient Chinese strategies applied to military engagement. Today, many people use this ancient     1     (wise) in business, sports as well as their daily life, often through unconventional means.

But the origins of the Thirty-Six Strategies are unknown. No author or compiler has ever been mentioned, and no date     2     it may have been written has been confirmed. The first historical mention of the Thirty-Six Strategies     3     (date) back to the Southern Chi Dynasty (AD 489-537) where it is mentioned in the History of the Southern Chi Dynasty. It     4     (brief) records, “Of the 36 strategies of Master Tan,     5     (run) away is the best."
