Invisible People

If you have the time, check out an amazing YouTube channel that I recently found     1     (call) “invisible people”. It’s a channel with     2     (hundred) of interviews of homeless people     3     share their story and how they survive day to day.

The man who operates the channel     4     (be) formerly homeless and has devoted his life to helping     5     homeless. The name “invisible people” certainly suits the channel well. For indeed there are so many “invisible” beings who are suffering every day, both humans and animals, and yet our     6     (social) either pays little for people to     7     (cruel) treat and kill animals, or completely     8     (ignore) those who are in desperate need.

Occasionally, someone who watches the videos posted on that channel is near one of the people interviewed and is able     9     (help) in some way. Some of the videos are truly heart-breaking but it’s important to see what people are going     10    . We can’t turn blind eye or treat them as if they’re invisible. We cannot behave as it’s been said, “Worship a homeless man on Sunday, and then ignore a homeless man on Monday.”

The name “Bing Dwen Dwen” is a     7     (combine) of several meanings in the Chinese language. “Bing” is the Chinese character for ice, while “Dwen Dwen” is     8     common nickname (绰号) in China for children that implies the healthiness and cuteness.

The mascot perfectly combines the best elements and characteristics of China to show China’s warm invitation to friends from all over the world. It is also designed     9    (promote) the Olympic spirit. There is no doubt     10     it will be a wonderful ambassador for China and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Weddings are generally considered personal events, but some couples in India   are more than happy to have strangers all over the world attend    1    (they) traditional weddings, for a     fee.

What’s even more special about this mystery donor     9     (be) that he seems to have been donating since 2011. That’s when local newspapers started receiving “miracle bags” along with instructions of where the money should go, but no one can say for sure     10     it’s the same person or not.

Ne Zha, China’s animated blockbuster hit of the summer, is ready     1     (hit) North American theaters later this month.
