2 . Summer Journalism Workshop
Explore Journalism (新闻业) with CSPA Columbia University in the City of New York
Take part in a learning experience like no other, where you will improve your skills, rethink your publishing (发行) strategies and take your media game to the next level.
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) invites print and online staffs (工作人员) to take part in its 41st yearly Summer Journalism Workshop, offering both in-person and virtual choices this year.
Each learner, whether student or adviser, can choose from classes that focus on either writing, editing, management, or advanced design.
Registration opens in December 2023. We offer in-person programming. Virtual classes will also be offered to those who are unable to meet on campus.
QUICK NOTES
The Workshop welcomes students and advisers from all senior high schools, whether public or private. While we do not accept junior high school students, advisers from these schools are welcome.

3 . Immersive Disney Animation Singapore
Since its world debut in Toronto in December 2022, Immersive Disney Animation has already drawn audiences across 13 North American cities and made an intercontinental splash in Tokyo. Now, this much-awaited journey is about to hit South East Asia for the first time on 18th November 2023 at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands!
HIGHLIGHTS
The doors open up to a stunning 360-degree environment that will transport you into the world of Disney’s storytelling. From classic hits to the latest blockbusters like Frozen, Encanto, Zootopia, and Big Hero 6, you can journey through iconic scenes and meet the timeless characters.
The experience goes beyond mere visual delights. There’ll be lots of interactive elements too, including floors that move with you as you explore the galleries, bubble snowfall, wristbands that light up in different colors, and more. Of course, children will be provided with protective gear when they are exploring with parents.
It is also a hands-on adventure that will ignite your creativity and deepen your understanding of the art of animation. Inside the gallery filled with rarely seen exhibits from the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, you can discover animator’s character sketches and get to know some of the incredible animators behind Disney’s legacy. There is also an interactive drawing table to try your hand at drawing your own cartoon characters and make them move.

Guided tour of Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden
Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden will be running special tours as part of the Open Doors-Wales festival. It was built as a memorial to prime minister Wiliam Gladstope, Take a tour of beautiful Reading Rooms housing 150,000 books.

Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, Glasgow
The atmospheric Britannia Panopticon will be showing off its collection of theatrical relics, props and costumes. Sample Victorian items at the world’s oldest surviving music hall without booking.

Gothic Temple, Stowe Gardens
Visitors to Stowe Gardens will be offered a rare chance to see inside the 18th century Gothic Temple. Though it’s normally rented as a holiday let, its circular rooms and mosaic ceilings will be open to prebooked visitors for one weekend.

6 . Four Outdoor Spring Activities for Kids
While we’re tempted to stay inside where it’s temperature-controlled and comfortable, getting outside is important for a child’s development. I’m sure you’ll find so many fun outdoor spring activities to do with your kids. They provide them with vitamin D from the sun,strengthen their bodies, enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills, help children appreciate nature, and so much more.
Kid-made Bird Feeder
Our kid-made bird feeder is made from recycled materials and birdseed. Simply have your children fill each bowl in the egg carton (蛋盒) with birdseed and hang it in a tree when you’re finished. This project helps kids work on measuring, pouring, concentration, hand-eye coordination and other skills.
Exploring Life at the Pond
Go to a local pond to explore there for a couple of hours. Study the pond ecosystem, search for creatures in the water and outside it, such as fish, worms, turtles and birds. Use our free printable to check off each creature or plant as you find it. This helps stimulate the curiosity about nature of your loved ones.
DIY Seed Bombs
Learn how to make homemade seed bombs to give as gifts to friends and neighbors. These earth-friendly seed bombs are made with recycled paper and can be planted directly into the soil. Include seeds from your favorite grasses or flowers in the seed bombs.

Join this four-day tour to discover Taiyuan and Pingyao through their unique culture, lifestyle and food.
Day 1:
Arrive at Taiyuan Airport / Railway Station. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting to greet you and accompany you on the transfer (换乘) to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in the city.
Day 2:
We will pick you up at about 8:30 for the drive to Pingyao. On the way we’ll stop to see Jinci Temple the most famous temple complex in Shanxi, located southwest of Taiyuan at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain. Get ready to enjoy a half-day walking tour around the ancient walls of Pingyao. In the afternoon we’ll drive back to the hotel in Taiyuan, with an estimated arrival time of 18:00.
