1 . Every year, young, talented, and ambitious nature conservationists from all over the world participate in the presentation of the Future For Nature (FFN) Award, an honorable international award.
The Future For Nature aims to:
• Reward and fund individuals for their outstanding efforts in the protection of species of wildlife.
• Encourage winners to sustain their dedicated work.
·• Help winners to raise their profiles, extend their professional network and strengthen their funding basis.
Benefits
• The winners each receive 50,000 euros and may make their own decision to spend the money in the service of nature conservation.
• FFN offers the winners a platform and brings their stories to the attention of conservationists, financiers and a wide audience, allowing them to increase their impact and gain more access to funds.
• FFN is building a growing family of winners, dedicated people who form a community of people with the same interest. FFN offers them the opportunity to meet each other and continue to learn with each other in order to continue their fight for nature as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Qualifications
The candidate (候选人):
• Must be born on or after the 31st May 1988 and before the 28th of August 2005.
• Is able to explain his/her conservation work in fluent English (written and spoken)
• Has achieved substantial and long-term benefits to the conservation status of one or more animal or plant species.
• Must be determined to continue his/her conservation work, as the Award aims to stimulate the winner’s future work. It is not an “end of career” prize.
Additional Remarks
For the 2024 Future For Future Awards, we are again searching for natural leaders, who have proven that they can make a difference in species’ survival.
From all applications, 6 to 10 nominees (被提名者) will be selected. These applicants will be asked to provide additional information, which will be used to select the final Awardees. Ultimately, three inspiring wildlife heroes are selected as the winners.

2 . Snorkel & Conch Cruise
The most popular trip offered by Caicos DreamTours provides a wonderful way for tourists to experience the third largest coral reef system in the world that surrounds the island of Providenciales.
This memorable Snorkel & Conch Cruise trip offers twice daily departures (9: 00 am and 1: 30 pm), seven days a week. With snorkeling (浮潜) equipment included, the captain will first make a stop to snorkel along the Caicos Bank to view the fascinating wildlife on the reef. You will then depart to Half Moon Bay, an uninhabited island where you can relax on the white-sand beach and snorkel in the crystal clear waters just offshore while the staff prepares a light lunch for you.
Inclusions
Transportation, snorkeling equipment, free snacks and refreshments including sandwiches, fresh fruits, chips, beer and soft drinks are all included in the trip price.
Departures
The morning departure includes an 8: 40 am check-in at the Caicos Dream Tours beach hut, a short five-minute walk down the beach away from The Sands at Grace Bay with a 1: 00 pm return to The Sands at Grace Bay. The afternoon departure includes a 1: 10 pm pickup at their beach hut with a 5: 30 pm return.

3 . New Rules for Delayed or Canceled Flights
DOT Proposes New Rules
On Aug. 3, 2022, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a briefing regarding airline consumer protections related to flight cancellation and travel delays.
While there are already DOT rules regarding airline refunds in case of a canceled or significantly delayed flight, the definition of “significant delay” was not clearly defined, and its meaning is left to the interpretation of the airline, The vagueness of old rules often did not benefit travelers.
How New Rules Help Passengers
DOT’s new proposal seeks to outline a more precise definition of what constitutes a significant change in flight schedule
●Domestic flights: A change in departure or arrival time of three hours or more
●International flights: An arrival or departure delay of six hours or more
●Airport changes: A change in departure or arrival airport
●Experience: A significant downgrade in comforts or conditions onboard the flight
Laying down these guidelines would allow DOT to enforce the fair practices regarding consumer refunds when flights are changed.
Taking public health concerns into consideration, the rules propose that passengers who cannot fly due to specific pandemic-related reasons should be protected. The new rules would require ticket agents and airlines to provide passengers with travel credits.
Limitation on Airline Responsibility
There are limitations to the airline’s responsibility, just as the DOT’s current refund rules state. An airline is not required to give are fund due to a passenger’s personal issue or unsatisfactory travel experience. The airline is also not responsible for hotel room costs or other incidentals associated with passengers needing to wait for a new flight or alternative mode of transportation.

Hollin Farms Delaplane, VAHollin Farms’ strawberry picking season will begin in late May, and last several weeks. Hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm from Wednesday to Sunday. If you come in summer, peaches, blackberries, red raspberries and sour cherries are available. Apples are ready in late summer, and fall brings green vegetables, potatoes, and dig-your-own peanuts. And a special P.S. (备注) to meat lovers: they pride themselves on their grass-fed beef.
Great Country Farms Bluemont, VAGreat Country Farms is well-known for its seasonal festivals and fun farm-themed attractions. Their U-pick strawberry fields will open in May.
