Glo Zone (Ages 5-7 Individual Winner)

Kabir from California came up with this cool invention after a not-so-fun experience. He was hit by four adults on a ski trip! To make skiing and snowboarding safe for nighttime (especially for smaller kids)， he created Glo Zone，a fun glowing(发光的)rainbow umbrella that is attached to skiers’ helmets.

ProTech Helmet (Ages 11-13 Individual Winner)

Pooja from New Jersey has created a light, safe helmet designed for playing frisbee (飞盘)!She came up with the idea after getting hit right under the eye at a frisbee competition and realizing she could get blinded if it were any higher. The ProTech Helmet has a lining(衬里) made of a new technology called Spin.

Ace Attachment (Ages 8-10 Team Winner)

Levi and Albert from New York dealt with helping people with disabilities enjoy sports. The Ace Attachment makes it easier for wheelchair users to play golf. Unlike similar inventions, the Ace Attachment is easily adjustable.

Skate Shoes “DOOD” (Ages 14+ Individual Winner)

It’s the worst when you ruin your favorite pair of shoes! Fortunately, Rommel from Mexico has come up with new skate shoes. These shoes have exchangeable parts that allow pieces of the shoes to be replaced with new ones when broken instead of getting rid of the whole pair.

5 . Whether you’re in high school or college, there are many opportunities at parks and offices across the country to donate your time and services. Following are some volunteer opportunities that you could take up.

Interpretation Language Translator, Mandarin and Cantonese

Time: 4/25/2023—8/31/2023

Address: Golden Gate National Recreation Area, San Francisco, California

Description: We are seeking the help of a native Chinese translator/speaker to help translate signs at our Point Bonita lighthouse to traditional Chinese for Cantonese and Mandarin speaking visitors to our park. Volunteers will be working from a Google Document provided by the volunteer supervisor with the associated English text.

Qualifications: Patience; Organized; Attention to detail; Advanced written and spoken proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese; Access to Computer and computer software.

Mark Twain Lake M. W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center Attendant

Wild Wednesday Assistant

Description: The purpose of the Wildlife Wednesday program is to enhance a young child’s visit to the refuge through a one hour hands-on nature exploration activity during the summer season. The activity consists of a story, craft, hike or the movement activity which may incorporate dance and music.

Qualifications: good interpersonal communication and computer skills; passionate about connecting young children to nature; basic knowledge and understanding of ecology, wildlife and plants.

6 . Botswana is situated in Southern Africa. There are many top-quality places to enjoy your African trip.

The Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta and is a top spot to visit during your Botswana trip. The whole delta covers an area of 15,000 km². The Okavango River ends in this area flooding the whole region. Besides the regular flooding, rainfall can drastically increase the size of this water body, up to 22,000 km².

The delta also contains the Moremi Game Reserve and it is one of the best places to see wildlife. Animals such as hippopotamuses, crocodiles, buffalo, rhinoceroses, elephants and antelopes can be very easily found in the region. There are over 500 species of birds in this area.

The Chobe National Park

The Chobe National Park is situated in Northwest Botswana. It is the third largest park in Botswana and is famous for its large wildlife population. The Chobe National Park has diverse animal habitats and it is wonderful to watch these beautiful animals right in front of you. The park is also very famous for its elephants and is considered to be the largest area for elephants in Africa. Apart from the huge elephant population, other wild animals such as lions, leopards, wild dogs, antelopes, hippopotamuses, buffalo and crocodiles can also be seen.

The Kalahari Game Reserve

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is situated in the Kalahari Desert, covering an area of 52,800 km². It is the second largest game reserve in the world. Large areas of trees, bushes and grass are widely spread in this reserve, thus adding to the beauty of the place. The reserve contains a huge concentration of wildlife. Many wild animals including giraffes can be spotted easily there.

7 . In summer of this year, we have options for your young artiste (专业演员) to learn a new creative art or develop an existing talent around the sound. Here are just 4 of a dozen highly unique activities being offered by us in Seattle.

Broadway Bound

Broadway Bound will be offering 12 weeks of in-person musical theater camps this summer. Campers will work together to learn acting, singing and dancing, and then put on a performance at the end of the week.

Stone Soup Theatre

Stone Soup will hold its Summer Stage day camps outside at two parks: Meridian Playfield in North Seattle and Jefferson Park in South Seattle. Camps run 9 a. m.—3 p. m, with early-arrival care and aftercare free of charge. Kids can act their hearts out.

School of Rock

Join a band this summer! At School of Rock, kids can spend a week learning and making music at fun day camps. No experience is needed for some camps, such as Rookies Camp, though some require some experience. Most camps come to an end with a live performance.

Gage Academy of Art (Seattle, online)

10 . Rome can be pricey for travelers, which is why many choose to stay in a hostel (旅社). The hostels in Rome offer a bed in a dorm room for around $25 a night, and for that, you’ll often get to stay in a central location (位置) with security and comfort.

If I had to make just one recommendation for where to stay in Rome, it would be Yellow Hostel. It’s one of the best-rated hostels in the city, and for good reason. It’s affordable, and it’s got a fun atmosphere without being too noisy. As an added bonus, it’s close to the main train station.

If you love social hostels, this is the best hostel for you in Rome. Hostel Alessandro Palace is fun. Staff members hold plenty of bar events for guests like free shots, bar crawls and karaoke. There’s also an area on the rooftop for hanging out with other travelers during the summer.

If you’re looking for cleanliness and a modern hostel, look no further than Youth Station. It offers beautiful furnishings and beds. There are plenty of other benefits, too; it doesn’t charge city tax; it has both air conditioning and a heater for the rooms; it also has free Wi-Fi in every room.

Hotel and Hostel Des Artistes is located just a 10-minute walk from the central city station and it’s close to all of the city’s main attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing you with a map of the city when you arrive, and offering advice if you require some. However, you need to pay 2 euros a day for Wi-Fi.
