2 . King’s College Summer School
King’s College Summer School is an annual training program for high school students at all levels who want to improve their English. Courses are given by the teachers of King’s College and other colleges in New York. Trips to museums and culture centers are also organized. 3 . Canadian Rockies Family Multi-adventure Camping Tour
Day 1: Awesome views of Mount Rundle and Cascade Mountain are you to admire as you bike through Banff to Lake Minnewanka. Not ready to stop? Ride to Johnston Canyon and hike to a series of impressive waterfalls before arriving at your campsite.
Day 2: Travel around Kootenay National Park on foot. Witness a vast wildfire burnt area while keeping an eye out for the new-growth forest. Move into a hanging valley for a view of extraordinary Sianley Glacier. Hike a family-friendly route through a beautiful valley and stand in awe. of the wonderful upper and lower waterfalls.
Day 3: Keep your eye on the forest for deer, sheep and bears as you cycle to Lake Louise. Visit Moraine Lake and walk through an ice-carved valley beneath huge mountains to Consolation Lake. Kids join leaders for a special night out while adults relax at our campsite.
Day 4: Rafting on the Kicking Horse River-a good time with a taste of white-water thrills! The younger crowd teams up with a local guide for a rock-climbing lesson while grown-ups go for a classic Rockies walk to the historic Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse. Dig into a tasty lunch before returning to Banff.

6 . 2019 TFK Poetry Contest(比赛；竞赛)
Call all poets! Time for Kids has a challenge for you: write a funny, rhyming poem. It must be an original poem that does not copy another poet’s work. Enter the Time for Kids Poetry Contest! As fewer and fewer children are interested in writing poetry of their own, Time for Kids decides to organize and sponsor such a contest to change the situation.
Contest Rules
1. How to enter This contest begins at 12:01 a. m. on March 6, 2019 and ends at 11:59 p. m. on July 24, 2019. To enter, mail the following information to 1271Avenue of the Americas, 32nd Floor, New York, New York 10020:
(a) an original and previously unpublished poem that is humorous and has a rhyme scheme;
(b)entrants’ first name only and a parent’s mail address. Limit one entry per person. When entering, entrants promise that the entry is original, and has not been published in any medium and has not won an award.
2. Judging All entries will be judged by poet Kenn Nesbitt, based on the following criteria(标准): creativity and originality (50%), use of language and rhyme (25%) and appropriateness to the theme of the contest (25%). The length of the entry will not be taken into consideration.
3. Prizes Our judges will select four semi-finalists(参加半决赛的选手) from which one grand prize winner and three finalists will be chosen. While peer(同辈）support has proved effective for adults with mental health challenges, scientific evaluations of teenagers helping one another are difficult to find- even though some limited studies show that teenagers experiencing the stress of adolescence manage better emotionally when they are with their friends than with their parents. YouthLine is one of the six youth lines across the USA that have demonstrated how teenagers can relate to their peers over the Internet or the phone in a way that adults are sometimes unable to do. These peer-run crisis lines are coming together to bring more young voices to crisis intervention (干预). The six youth lines, which together speak to more than 50,000 young people each year, have monthly conference calls to share best practices.
YouthLine trains volunteers who are between 15 and 20 years old. They answer calls from teenagers who reach out to their helpline by phone, text, chat or email. Volunteers go through 55 hours of training where they listen as their peers take calls. YouthLine asks its teenagers to commit to one three-and-a-half-hour shift per week for at least a year, but a considerable number of them sign up for extra shifts, and stay for several years.
Still, the model has its skeptics, who don’t think teenagers can or should take calls from people in crisis. Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit that provides crisis intervention by text, decided to avoid using volunteers under the age of 18 for a few reasons. Wendy Farmer, the chief executive of Behavioral Health Link in Atlanta, also had reservations about the model, until she visited YouthLine last August. Ms. Farmer spent a night on shift and conducted a focus group with some of the volunteers. What surprised Ms. Farmer was not only how effective these teenagers were at helping their peers get through challenges, but also the way that work helped them build their own resilience (适应力).
