1 . Every year, tens of thousands of kids aged 3 to 13 become Junior Rangers in different national parks across America. At Yosemite alone more than 20, 000 kids take part in the Yosemite Junior Ranger Program. If you want to be a Junior Ranger, you need to learn about the natural and cultural history, and make a promise to be a national park protector.

Here Is How YOU Can Become a Junior Ranger!

Earn yourself an official Junior Ranger Badge You could become a Yosemite’s Junior, Ranger today by completing the following steps:

•Buy your Junior Ranger Handbook in the nearest Visitor Center.

•Complete the pages in the handbook.

•Pick up rubbish.

•Attend a Guided Program.

•Return your completed handbook and a bag of rubbish to the Visitor Center.

•Make your official Junior Ranger Promise at a ceremony.

•Get your official Junior Ranger Badge.

After you become a Junior Ranger, you are encouraged to share your ranger stories with your friends, teachers and families.

5 . Camp Odayin provides fun, safe and supportive camp experiences and community building opportunities for young people and their families this year.

It is hosted in Amery, a two-hour drive from the Twin Cities and free round trip transportation is provided from Minneapolis and Madison. This camp is for children who have attended Residential Camp or Day Camp before. Campers can experience snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding. Registrations are processed during December & January.

Scheduled in downtown Stillwater, Moms Retreat will seek to improve the quality of caregivers' life. It will include meals, boarding and yoga activities.

Registration will open in April for moms that receive the email invitation from Camp Odayin. If the limit is reached, we will start a wait list.

Campers will have a chance to communicate with other young people sharing the same grade. Hosted in Lutherdale, it will include swimming, horseback riding and talent show. The approval by the Camp Odayin Director is necessary.

Registration will open in early March and is due May 1st.

Hosted in Camp Lake, the camp is a two-night commitment for families with children suffering from heart diseases, who will benefit from connecting with other families who have similar health, emotional and social concerns. Activities will include drawing, fancy dress balls and movies.

Families who have a child in 12th grade or younger (no minimum age) can attend. Camper registration is available online in late August.

Our exhibits will feed your mind, but what about your body? Our café offers a complete menu of lunch and snack options, in addition to seasonal specials. The café is located upstairs in Building 1 and is open daily until one hour before Pacific Science Center closes.

Lockers are available to store any belongings during your visit. The lockers are located in Building 1 near the Information Desk and in Building 3. Pushchairs and wheelchairs are available to rent at the Information Desk and Denny Way entrance. ID required.
