Recently our class have had a debate. Its topic focuses on if it is necessary to use high technology to beautify the Palace Museum. As for this, different students hold different opinion.
Some are in favor of the creative idea because of the use of high technology can add beauty to the Palace Museum, thus make it more attractive to visitors. Therefore, those who are against the idea thinks that this technology will destroy the original appearance of the Palace Museum. More important, it is extremely essential to respect the history and tradition.
From me point of view, other measures can be taken attract more visitors. And it’s our duty to provide the complete and genuine ancient palace for the world.

Dear Penny,
Knowing that you are confused about the custom of giving gifts in China, I’d like to share with some suggestions here.
To begin with, the meaning of the gifts lie in value rather than price. Giving that, you’d better found out the preference of your hosts. When comes to the color of wrapping paper, black or white may not be advisable, both of them are considered to be unlucky in China. Beside, it’s bad manner to pick a clock or a pair of shoes for your hosts. Finally, what makes the gifts specially is the bond between the sender and the recipient. The gifts to the hosts should not be cost.
I hope these suggestions will be of great help to you.
Yours,
Li Hua

They look really beautiful in shape of a diamond, about 5 inches long and 4 inches widely. Appeared in ancient China, these knots stands for friendship, love and good luck. People can either give them as gifts to friends and hang them in their houses. They are only 12.99 dollars each, of which is reasorable. If anyone wants to know many about the knots let them write to me. Also, do tell me if you need further informations. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua

Is it necessary to practice handwriting? Some students consider handwriting least important than before. They preferred the keyboard to the pen now, because the former is fast, convenient and clear. They think it is waste of time practicing handwriting. However, others think Chinese handwriting is an important part of our traditional culture.
Though computers are very convenient, but handwriting still plays an important role in the modern world. Beside, beautiful handwriting makes a good impression in others. It shows your attitude to do things. Chinese character are very beautiful and rich in culture. As for me, when reading a neat written article, you will feel pleased and relaxed.

When holidays draw nearly, people usually greeted each other in a variety of ways. Some people often go on the line and send e-mails or electronic cards to their friends, relatives and teachers that others prefer to make phone calls or send short messages by mobile phone. In a word, people choose differently to exchange their best wish during our holidays.
As to me, I’d like send e-mails or electronic cards. First, it costs little and no money. What’s more, a lot of paper is saving, which is environmentally friendly.
