The project brought together governments and environmentalists from around the world. Temples and other cultural sites were taken down piece by piece, and then moved and put back together again in a place     1     they were safe from the water. The Dunhuang manuscripts (手稿) were first discovered in 1900 in the Mogao Grottos,     1     UNESCO World Heritage Site in northwest China’s Gansu. There are more than 60,000 of them.     2     (date) back to the 4th century, the manuscripts are     3     (main) in Chinese, but some are shown in other languages including Tibetan. In the early 20th century, a large number of Dunhuang Tibetan manuscripts     4     (take) to countries such as France and Britain.

Northwest Minzu University and Shanghai Chinese Classics Publishing House, together with some     5     (edit) from the National Library of France, compiled (编撰) the photocopies,     6     were published in 35 books as a set. It is the first time that the entire Tibetan literature preserved in France has been published in the form     9     photocopies.

At present, the ancient Tibetan manuscripts preserved in Britain     10     (change) into a digital form by Chinese researchers, in the country’s efforts to study and preserve unique Tibetan culture. It is said that the task is expected to be finished soon.

Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has adopted digital technology     1     (preserve)ancient cliff(悬崖) carvings and paintings before their disappearance.

Workers have copied more than 2,000 immovable rock carvings and paintings at Helan Mountain to digitalize the overall views as well as     2     (they)accurate locations. The digital information will be sorted and-workers will conduct a disease analysis.

In Asia, especially the so-called “rice bowl” cultures of China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, food is usually eaten with    1    (chopstick).

Chopsticks are usually two long, thin pieces of wood or bamboo. They can also    2     (make) of plastic or mental.
