The summer is a great time to be in Britain. The British Museum, the Natural History Museum and Tate Britain are all must-sees for every visitor, but there are also a lot of     1     (particular) interesting things to do for some people,     2     love the outdoors.

She places Shaanxi papercuts over western-style pencil sketches (素描)    3     (create) typical presentation of Chineseelements (要素), which turns out to be a     4     (success) and impressive breakthrough.

Hua Mulan,     5     story has been told by generations in China, was a fighter from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534). As a devoted daughter, she dressed herself as a man to serve in the army     6     place of her father. Mulan’s character, such as courage, kindness and a disinterested attitude towards fame and fortune, made     7     (she) one of the most respected historical Chinese heroines. Mulan’s story has been adapted     8     (frequent) in modern media. For example, in 1998, Disney produced a film named Mulan, which     9     (consider) a great success by critics and the public right after its release.

To better tell the story, Yu Rong takes inspiration from her several     10     (visit) to sites of ancient battles and Henan Province’s Yu Opera. After years of preparation she finally makes this extraordinary work.

China has the world’s largest number of world natural heritage (遗产) sites. The country is now home     1     14 world natural heritage sites and four mixed sites,     2     are famous for both cultural and natural features, both leading the world in terms of quantity, the administration said. These heritage sites     3     (effective) protected China’s representative geological relics, mountains, forests and lakes, along with the rare and     4     (endanger) animal and plant species, the administration said Friday at     5     news meeting about cultural and natural heritage day, which falls on June 8 every year. The Taj Mahal, in Agra, India, is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. It     1    (build) nearly 400 years ago by a ruler named Shah Jahan for     2    (he) wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The building of the Taj Mahal took about twenty years. Depending on the season and the time of day, the white monument (纪念碑) takes on     3    (difference) colors. Many people don’t know that Nuo opera (傩戏) is considered as one of the most popular folk operas in    1    (south) China. Jiangxi Nuo, also called Gan Nuo (赣傩) is most popular in the counties of Nanfeng and Shangli in Jiangxi. A local temple,    2    was said to have been built in the Ming Dynasty, still functions well and attracts many visitors today.    3     (probable) 80 Nuo opera programmes from the past still exist today. The number of Nuo opera masks in Jiangxi is over 2, 000, and there are about 2, 000 professional    4    (perform) folk artists of Nuo opera.

Nuo dancing, one of the most ancient arts and    5    necessary ingredient in Nuo opera,    6     (stay) alive in Nanfeng, Jiangxi over the past 2,000 years.
