It’s almost time for me to say goodbye to Australia. I’ve enjoyed my time here very much. After being here for a while, my     1     (big) impression is the complicated mix of peoples and cultures     2     make up the nation. Although the main cultural influence since 1788     3     (be) Western culture, minority cultures have also played     4     part in shaping the unique Australian culture, with many of the new cultural influences     5     (contribute) by immigrants. It is said that now nearly half of all Australian citizens were either born overseas or have parents who were born overseas.

    6     (personal) speaking,     7     I like most about Australia is the people themselves. They have a straightforward and free-and-easy attitude     8     life, and their     9     (friendly) and warmth made me feel at home wherever I went. After     10     (experience) Australia, I have to say that I agree with the tourism slogan: “There’s nothing like Australia.”

4 . Isle of Skye

With its steep coastline and mountainous interior (内地), the island attracts walkers and climbers to the Cuillin and Trotternosh while those seeking adventures a little less extreme head here to spot the island’s abundant wildlife, with sea eagles, whales and dolphins among the species that call Skye home.

Saint John Island

Life moves slower here. Wildlife abounds (大量存在) and all is at peace. The National Park dominates here, covering more than half of the island. With countless bird species and dolphins and turtles to spot, it’s no surprise that this is a destination that draws nature lovers again and again. This is a place to rest and relax. Peace and quiet are abundant.

Grand Cayman

Breathtaking beaches attract visitors to Grand Cayman, but there’s far more to experience here. Hit the shops in George Town where all the best designer brands can be found before checking out the cultural and historic highlights. Need to kick back after all that sightseeing? You’ll be spoilt for choice. On the island’s west side is the most obvious destination for those seeking paradise. Great food, great weather and great tourist attractions for all.

Dalmatian Islands

Dalmatian Coast runs along the western edge of the country and is a unique destination made of picturesque islands and seaside towns. No matter which island you pick, you’ll come back with amazing memories. Our favourite island is Cres, known for its population of griffons (狮身鹫首的怪兽), where you can wander in forests, admire the cliffs standing along the sea and rest on quiet beaches.

5 . It is the first day of the summer. George and his friend Carlos are ________ for a camping trip. It is going to be the best camping trip, which will last three days. While Carlos makes ________ for their friends, George is going to make a list of activities to do while they are there. Last year, their camping trip was not entirely a ________. Mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, and to play a few games of flag football are all on their ________ . For night activities, they plan to tell stories, sing songs along with George’s guitar, and play some board games. With the list Carlos ________,they are going to have vegetables, chicken, fruit and some ________ for sudden illnesses. It is going to be the best trip they have ever made.

Nobody knows more about the history of the Tower than the Yeoman Warders (看守人) and no visit is complete without joining one of their tours. Having guarded (守卫) this royal (皇家的) palace and fortress (城堡) for centuries they will captivate you with amazing stories, passed on from generation to generation, and guide you to the infamous Traitor’s Gate and the execution (处决) site. Tours are held throughout the day.

The White Tower

The first stones of this structure were laid around 1078 by order of William the Conqueror. Its mighty walls are now home to displays from the Royal armouries (铠甲) including original armours worn by Henry VIII and Charles I plus a reconstructed display of massive collection of weapons once housed in the Grand Storehouse.

Ravens

The Ravens are one of the Tower’s most famous sights. These magnificent birds have lived within its walls for hundreds of years and legend has it that, if they leave, the kingdom will fall. Look out for these unique guardians around the Tower and make sure you visit their lodgings.
