1 . Valley
Placed in Amsterdam’s business center, Valley, designed by MVRDV is a mixed-use project that includes offices, shops, apartments, and cultural areas. It actually includes three connected towers that reach a height of up to 100m whose design was inspired by mountainous landscapes. The building’s uneven appearance ensures that no two apartments are the same, creating a number of completely unique housing units.
111 West 57th Street
Also known as Steinway Tower, it is a super-tall residential skyscraper (摩天大楼). The main part of the building is an 84-story, 435-meter tower. Designed by SHoP Architects, the extremely narrow tower — officially the thinnest in the world rises over New York City. Remaining at the base is the 16-story Steinway Building, a former Steinway & Sons store completed in 1925, which at first carried the address 111 West 57th Street.
NV Tower
It was designed by A&A Architects and reaches a height of 106 m in Sofia, Bulgaria. The building’s design is partly inspired by natural crystals (水晶). To strengthen the crystal theme, each floor of the building bears the name of a single crystal and is designed in the same color as the crystal. The building is multifunctional, including offices, homes, restaurants, shops, roof gardens and underground parking.
Premier Tower
It was designed by Elenberg Fraser and reaches a height of 246 m in Melbourne, Australia. The skyscraper’s overall design is a homage (致敬) to one of Beyonce’s music videos called “Ghost”. The Premier Tower has set a new standard in residential design. Within the building, you will find 796 apartments and 172 hotel rooms spread across 77 uniquely designed stories.
