It is known for its wide variety of creatures, which will make you have the chance to see the unique birds, bats and bears up close with a six-day hike. The high cloud forest with amazing plants is the perfect place to explore the trail. It has a series of well-marked paths that are great for an easy walk.

Armenia & the Silk Road

Armenia is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, and the best way to explore them is on foot. The Armenia & the Silk Road trip is an eleven-day adventure that takes you through some of the country's most beautiful routes.

2 . Colorful Natural Wonders on Earth

The world can be kind of a boring place without the colorful natural wonders. So that’s what I’ve decided to treat you to!

Rising in the Sierra de Huelva mountains of southwestern Spain, this 62-mile river gets its stunning orange and red colors from copper, iron, and other heavy metals. The best way to enjoy the beauty is by visiting the small mining town of Nerva. Note that only about half the length of the river features these colors.

Known by Stoney Nakota First Nations folks as Ho-run-num-nay, this glacial lake located in Banff National Park gets its turquoise color from finely grained rock particles contained within the ice as it melts in the lake. If you’re a big fan of the movie Thelma & Louise, you’ll be happy to know that there also happens to be a Lake Thelma.

Provence, a geographical region of southeastern France is famous in the summers for its lush lavender fields. To see them with your own eyes, mosey on up to the Luberon and Verdon plateau regions north of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, or head east past Avignon. But the window is rather brief; they start to blossom around the beginning of June and then by mid-July they’re done-zo.

Huge rice stan? Anyway, Yunnan, China is calling your name. With a history going back more than 1,200 years, this series of rice-growing terraces — covering territory more than one million acres — are located in the western part of the country. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. It sure took them long enough!

4 . As a Chinese who travels to Shanghai frequently, here is my suggested list of the top four things to do in Shanghai.

Admire the Bund

The Bund is the most famous and attractive sight there. The best time to admire the Bund is after dark when all the buildings are lit up, creating an extremely colorful and breathtaking scene. There are lots of sightseeing boats that let you view the beautiful Bund every night. Make sure to go on one of these boats. But you are not able to take good photos by boat.

Pay a visit to the Nanjing Road

Even if you are not a shop-lover, please spare an hour to visit Shanghai’s premier shopping street—Nanjing Road. There are upper-class department stores within 1920s-style buildings, along with world-famous brands and restaurants. This place is ideal to shop for authentic (真正的) Shanghainese snacks and souvenirs. If you don’t want to walk, a trackless sightseeing train only costs three yuan.

Take the Maglev Train

Take the Shanghai Maglev Train from Pudong International Airport to the Lujiazui financial district. The Maglev has a regular service speed of 430 km/h and is the fastest railway system in commercial operation in the world. This 30 km ride takes about eight minutes and 50 yuan one way, and 80 yuan for a round trip.

Taste the Hairy Crabs

Do a crab feast! Food hunting is important for most of the travelers. Shanghai’s cuisine is famous and hairy crabs are what you must eat there. However, hairy crabs are seasonal. If you go between September and November, it is the best time to not only enjoy hairy crabs, but a crab feast.

It’s famous because it’s located high up in the mountains, covered in jungles. The view there is amazing! It’s pretty impressive that the builders made this beautiful place in the middle of the jungle. Now visitor numbers are limited to a maximum per day.

These are just a few of the wonderful places to visit around the world. Therefore, if you ever have a chance, you should certainly check them out!

7 . For those who take interest in the wild, the following travel plan to great safari parks in Lake Nakuru and Masai is a perfect choice for you.

Day 1: Nairobi — Lake Nakuru

We’ll pick you up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and drive to the Great Rift Valley, arriving for lunch with a short game drive and checking in at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Afterwards, there will be a game drive across the Pink Lake. You’ll have your dinner and spend your night at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru — Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, we’ll leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara, checking in at Ashnil Mara or Mara Sorova camp and having lunch. After that, there will be another game drive through the park. Dinner and overnight will be provided by Ashnil Mara or Mara Sorova camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Siheyuan is a special type of building found in China that represents the country’s rich traditions. These buildings     1     (exist) around for a very long time and are mainly located in the northern parts of China. Exploring a Siheyuan allows you     2     (step) back in time and experience the peace and history of ancient China.

Markthal

The building, the scale (规模) of which is impressive, is home to almost 100 fresh food stalls (摊位), shop units, restaurants and over 200 apartments. Opened in 2014, it was built near where Rotterdam was first founded in 1270. Besides delicious food, you shouldn’t miss its large walls and ceiling covered with images of flying fruits, flowers and insects. This artwork, titled Horn of Plenty and created by the artists Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam, is one of the biggest in the world and covers an area of about 11,000 square meters.

Erasmus Bridge

The bridge stretches over the river Maas, connecting the city center with the neighborhood of Kop van Zuid. Named after the city’s famous scholar Desiderius Erasmus, the bridge is 808 meters long and weighs as much as 1,700 adult elephants. The bridge has a nickname—de zwaan (the swan). It does require a bit of imagination to see how this giant piece of steel resembles an actual swan, but if you look at it from above, it becomes a bit clearer.

Museum Boijmans van Beuningen Depot

It was born out of a desire to share artworks with as many people as possible and has gained over 150,000 pieces. Open since the summer of 2021, it has given visitors a unique behind-the-scenes look into the world of art conservation, art restoration and museum management. Most importantly, visitors have free access to the rooftop garden, which offers panoramic (全景的) views of the city.

De Rotterdam

De Rotterdam is a building complex of three interconnected towers. Located on the south side of the city, it has 45 floors. It houses commercial office spaces, residential apartments, cafés, restaurants and luxurious hotels. With a total floor space of about 160,000 square meters, it’s well-known as the largest group of buildings in the Netherlands.
