Alabama: Alabama Gulf Coast Beaches

If Alabama wasn’t the location for your next summer beach vacation, you may want to reconsider. There are 51 kilometers of white sand beaches made almost entirely of quartz grains (石英颗粒) washed down from the Appalachian Mountains thousands of years ago. That’s probably why over six million people visit Alabama’s Gulf Coast Beaches every year. Ten dollars per person.

Alaska: Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise

Alaska is the place to go for spotting breathtaking (令人惊叹的) wildlife. In fact, the number of visitors who travel to Alaska to see wildlife has increased by 45 percent. The Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise will bring you up close to whales, sea lions and sea birds. It is a five-hour trip that starts at noon and covers 88 kilometers of sea, and it will be the best $98 you ever spent.

Arkansas: Hot Springs National Park

Skip the beach and choose a new type of relaxation at Hot Springs National Park. It’s America’s oldest national park. It is also the only urban national park. You don’t need to make reservations (预订). Doors open at 8 a. m., so get there early!

Connecticut: Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History

Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History is a must stop if you’re travelling nearby Yale University. It attracts plenty of people and has many collections including New England birds, dinosaurs, Greek and Roman antiquities (古董), and even an Egyptian mummy (木乃伊). Adults pay $13 for entry, but if you want to visit for free, go on a Thursday.

5 . From the modern London Eye to the historic Tower of London, below are London’s most visited tourist attractions. Many of London’s top attractions are free, making them affordable places to learn about some culture. Whether you prefer history or modern art, you’ll find it at one of these must-visit spots.

British Museum

The world-famous British Museum exhibits the works of man from prehistoric to modern times, from around the world. The most interesting and exciting parts include the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures and the mummies in the Ancient Egypt collection. Some exhibitions require tickets.

National Gallery

The greatest and most beautiful building of Trafalgar Square, London’s National Gallery is a vast space filled with Western European paintings from the 13th to the 19th centuries. In this impressive art gallery you can find works by masters such as Van Gogh, da Vinci, Botticelli, Constable, Renoir, Titian and Stubbs. Some exhibitions require tickets.

Coca-Cola London Eye

The Coca-Cola London Eye is a major feature of London’s skyline. It has some of London’s best views from its 32 capsules, each weighing 10 tons and holding up to 25 people. Climb aboard for a breathtaking experience, with an unforgettable view of more than 55 of London’s most famous landmarks — all in just 30 minutes!

Madame Tussauds

At Madame Tussauds, you’ll come face-to-face with some of the world’s most famous faces. From Shakespeare to Lady Gaga you’ll meet influential figures from show business, sport, politics and even royalty. Strike a pose with Usain Bolt, get close to One Direction or receive a once-in-a-lifetime audience with Her Majesty the Queen.

The capital city London is a great place to start, as it is an ancient port city     2     has a history dating all the way back to Roman times. There are countless historic sites to explore, and lots of museums with ancient relics from all over the UK. The UK is a fascinating mix of history and modern culture, with both new and old traditions. If you keep your eyes     3    , you will be surprised to find that you can see both its past and its present.

8 . The most wonderful space museums

If your main interests lie in military aviation, this museum will have everything you’ve ever wanted to see. It features exhibits on World War II, the Korean War, the Southeast Asia War and the Cold War. They’ve also got a Missile Gallery as well as a Space Gallery where visitors can walk inside a full-size reproduction of a NASA shuttle (航天飞机). Most impressively, it is totally free to visitors.

Housing 60,000 air and space collections, the museum enables visitors to learn about the rich history of aviation (航空) by viewing the first successful aircraft (飞机) — the 1903 Wright Flyer — and everything that came next. From pilot uniforms to NASA spacesuits, engines and equipment, you’ll find it all at this museum.

Space fans know this museum to be the site of the original Space Camp, including the film by the same name, but there’s plenty more to see here. The Center has a number of exhibits both indoors and out and many play areas for younger kids. 3D movies and live science shows add to the appeal.

The privately funded museum has been in operation for over 40 years and has over 300 historic aircraft on display. You’ll also find several exhibits that range from seaplanes and aircraft carriers to paper airplanes and women in flight. One of the biggest draws, though, is its extensive “boneyard”, a collection of over 4,000 U.S. government and military aircraft that are either being recycled or regenerated.
