1 . The State of Colorado has four of the best parks out of the 58 national parks in the United States. The parks have some of the best scenery of all the national parks.

Black Canyon (峡谷) of Gunnison National Park

This park offers the most breathtaking views from up in the mountains into the canyons below. While exploring the canyons, you will find that the walls drop nearly straight down into the narrow valleys of the snake-like rivers below. Visitors are offered more than 100 camping sites, and a lot of bird species and many animals are native to the area.

Rocky Mountain National Park

It is the only national park in the north central region in the state of Colorado. Elevations in this park are anywhere from 8,000 feet to 14,259 feet at the top of Longs Peak. While traveling throughout this park you will notice two very different climates because of the difference the upper peaks of the Rocky Mountains make. You can enjoy 359 miles of hiking trails, a lot of places for camping, horse-back riding and beautiful scenery.

Mesa Verde National Park

This is probably the most interesting national park, offering a fascinating trip back in time to 600 AD up to 1300 AD. This park was declared a protected national park in 1906 because of the cliff dwellings(住所) that were found throughout the area, which were once home to American Indians. Many of these dwellings can be walked through, while you imagine what each room may have been used for so many years ago.

Great Sand Dunes (沙丘)National Park

The Great Sand dunes National Park lies in south central Colorado, about 127 miles from Pueblo. This park has the tallest sand dunes in all of North America and has trails for hiking. The natural sandy beaches around the small rivers and lakes are good for swimmers.

2 . Earlier this summer, after packing my rucksack for a wild-camping holiday, I gazed at my belongings, and made a final adjustment to the contents of my bag.    1

I quickly emailed my travel companion, a photographer friend called Jacob to make sure I could have some pictures of our trip afterwards, so I could pop a few up on Instagram when I returned. And then I set off, feeling — for the first time in a number of trips — that I was genuinely escaping the stresses and strains of my everyday life.    2    Because the way stress locates us, these days, is via our phones.

3    However, I've realized that for a holiday really to function as a holiday, I need an escape from social status anxiety , from caring about “likes”, and from having to photograph every tiny detail of life to prove our existence. When we overshare a glossy version of our trip online, we miss out on talking about our trips when we return, which is part of the joy of travel. Posting in the moment denies us this opportunity to relive (回味) our experience, and prolong that holiday feeling.    4

During my three-day Insta-break, my stress levels decrease quickly within 24 hours.    5    I made mental notes of funny moments, cultural observations, tips and when I returned, I had interesting, detailed chats with friends about my time away.

A.I also changed how I processed the trip itself.
B.So I am fully supportive of screen-free holidays.
C.I took out my iPhone, and threw it under my bed.
D.1 would lose track of my coworkers, my friends and my family.
E.None of them could touch me for the next three glorious days.
F.So this summer, as you plan your trip, ask if you can delete Instagram.
G.As a travel writer, abandoning my phone for my holiday felt like the extreme betrayal.

The best places to visit in Argentina

“The best holiday destination in Argentina is Patagonia. The most famous place is Ushuaia — the southernmost city in the world. Expect glaciers (冰川), national parks, wildlife and end of the world cruising,” said Lloyd.

The best accommodation in Argentina

Lloyd advises avoiding some of the chain hotels. “While it may be attractive to stay at famous hotels, I recommend some of the smaller boutique hotels in the city,” he said.

4 . Dreaming of summer picnics filled with family and fun? We’ve come up with 4 of the top picnic areas across the US.

Cumberland Islands, Georgia

Just a few hours south of Savannah, this national seashore is a wonderful picnic place. It’s an unspoiled place in the Deep South with over 50 miles of hiking trails (小径). Covered in Spanish moss, the trails are lined with trees and since it’s still a rural area, the stars line up for a grand show at night and create the perfect evening starlit picnic opportunity.

Grant Park, Chicago

If you are looking for delicious food in Chicago, go for a taste of a 20-day, lake-front, foodie festival that happens in October each year. Grab a spot near the fountain to enjoy your picnic, appreciate the city scenery and lake views and relax with family and friends. If you are there on July 4th, be sure to plan the day to include the fireworks display at the Navy Pier.

Cranberry Islands, Maine

Here, you’ll enjoy natural picnics with island views. The islands are a delightful group of islands about 20 minutes offshore from Acadia National Park. You can visit the islands by private boat or ferry service. Bring a picnic basket along for the ride as it’s a romantic picnic area to take your special someone or go for a family outing to visit the islands.

Big Sur, California

5 . Getting away may be good for your soul---but is it good for everyone else?

---By BEN HEALY

If you feel like you need a vacation, you're almost certainly right Americans get far fewer paid days off than workers in petty much any other industrialized democracy and the time we actually take off has declined significantly, from 20.3 days in 1987 to 17.2 days in 2017.

Beyond souvenirs and suntans, the best reason to take a break may be your own health. For the Helsinki Businessmen Study-- 40-year cardiovascular (心血管的) health study that also happens to be the working title of the solo album I'll probably never get around 10 recording ---researchers treated men at risk of heart disease. From 1974 to 2004 those men who took atl east three weeks of vacation were 379% less likely to die than those who t fewer weeks off.

Even if we don't view time of as a matter of life and death, people who take more of their allotted vacation time tend to find their work more meaningful. Vacation can yield other benefits, too: People who took all or most of their paid vacation time to travel were more likely than others to report a recent raise or bonus.

And time not taken depresses more than individual career prospects In 2017, the average us worker left six paid vacation days unused, which works out to 705 million days of travel nationally, enough to support 1.9 million travel-related jobs.

From longevity to career growth to macroeconomic achievements, the cease for vacation seems open-and shut. Yet the picture's not entirely rosy. Tourism's carbon footprint grew four times as much as expected from 2009 to 2013, and accounted for 8 percent of all greenhouse gas emission in that period. What's more, the travel industry is expected to consume 92 percent more water in 2050 than it did in 2010, and 189 percent more land. In other environmental news, people are less likely too recycle while on vacation (both because they are unsure how to, and because getting away with things seems to be a key part of getting away from it all)

The frisson(短暂的、突然的兴奋或恐惧) of pitching plastic is not the only thrill tempting travelers. Interviews wit tourists returning from various international destinations revealed that they used more drugs while on vacation than in everyday life. Other studies have found that people are more likely to eat with abandon while traveling: On vacations of one to three weeks, tourists gain an average of 0.7 pounds, a significant portion of average annual weight gain. Finally, a 2015 study found that "travel and leisure" provoked envy---perhaps the single most toxic substance known to man--more than any other attribute( 特性) examined (including "relationship and family," "appearance" and “money and material possessions"). The effect may be especially severe on social media: 62% of people who described Facebook-caused bouts(发作) of jealousy said they'd been triggered by travel or leisure experiences--versus less than a quarter of people whose envy had been piqued(激起) in person.

So for your own health and sanity(心智健全),book that vacation. But for everyone else's, please travel as sustainably as you can, and take it easy with the Instagram.
