Last year, my parents as well as I paid a visit Qufu, Confucius’ hometown by car. It was a fascinating city with the history of more than five thousand year. Honest speaking, it is an important birthplace of oriental culture. The location of the city is very good and the surrounded landscape is also very charming. Thank to Confucius, crowds of people are eager to visiting Qufu. Qufu’s custom is simple and its people are generous but enthusiastic. We have enjoyed various buildings there and listened to the guide carefully. The journey left a deep impression on us, that has broadened my knowledge.

It was a little of cold but in October the season brought lots of differently colors to the trees. Everything looks just beautiful. Later, we saw the snowy mountains and began to drive at foot of the mountains and finally they arrived in the desert. It was a sunny day and the scenery were beautiful. I loved walking along the country roads here, with trees on both sides. I also had a pleasant time with my friends in a restaurant.

When I came to China, I start to travel around and I was amazed at various wildlives compared to my hometown in the UK. I went to Northeast forests in Dongbei and it was full of birds singing -numbers that I’d never experienced it in the UK. These forests are bird watching paradise. I was impressing by the number of birds in Inner Mongolia, lots of different species singing like an orchestra on the morning. In Sichuan I saw the fire throat, the black throat and pandas. These is birds that are found nowhere else. With a relative rare human population, there are big wild spaces and quite different wildlife comparing with the rest of China. I’ve been here 11 years now and I've still just scratched the surface . There’s still so much many to see.

I was happy that I took guided tour of the Summer Palace on Sunday with my classmates and teachers. We go there by coach. The scenery was too beautiful that we took a great number of picture there. Then we walked around the lake, listen to the guide talking about the history of it. The Summer Palace was special designed. After three hours, we were hungry so we ate and drank that we brought with us. We were soon full with energy. We decided to climb the Longevity Hill. We all felt delightedly when we were on the top of it. Although we were tired, but we really had a good time.

Do you prefer to travel by plane or by train? To my opinion, there are advantages and disadvantages travelling both by plane and by train. Travel by plane is time-saving, comfortably, and you can have a good rest on the trip, but it is too expensive. Unless you travel by train, it is not expensive and quite safety and you can appreciate the beautiful scenery on both sides of the railway. However, it was too crowded and time-wasting, and we can take a good rest. So you can see every coin have two sides. You’d better to choose either of them depend on your own interest and economy.

Last Sunday, sixty students from our school pay a visit to China Science and Technology Museum.
The museum, which main task is to spread the knowledge of science and technology, covers area of 48,000 square meters. The moment when we entered the museum, the exhibition caught their attention. In the museum, we saw the latest progresses in science and technology. Moreover, we did an amazed scientific experiment by ourselves. What appealed for us most was the 3D film that made us feel we were in real events.
Though the visiting time was slight short, we gained a lot. It is so an instructive activity that we hope more will be organized in the future.
