There are many people who wants to protect the environment but don’t know that should be done. Here are a few tips that can help you lighten the burden on the heavily polluting earth.
Don’t leave any electrical appliance (电器) on careless if you are not using it. It can contributed to saving energy. In addition, recycle cans, bottles, plastic bags and newspapers if circumstances allow us to. Finally and the most importantly, be an educator. Talk with both your family and friends about global warming or let them be aware the importance of protecting the environment. Please remember that everyone contribution counts when it comes to creating a greener world.

Last Friday, our school held a fire drill. Listened to the teacher attentively in the math class, all of a suddenly, we heard a fire alarm from the loudspeaker. The teacher stopped teaching immediately and instructing us to exit the classroom in order. When we got out, heavy smoke had filled with the hallway. We bent down, covered our mouths with wet towels and ran downstairs along the wall into the open airs, just as we had taught before. What moved us were that our monitor made sure everyone was safe after he left the building. Five minutes late, we gathered on the playground. We got to know more about how to protect us properly in case of emergency.

We live in the countryside. Most of which we see is the beauty of nature. One of the exceptions to the beauty is the litter some people throw out their windows as they are driving on the roads. One of the few drawbacks to living in the countryside is that public service, such as litter collection, are little available than they are closer to the city.
A helping habit that my family practise regularly are picking up litter in our surrounding area. We have become so accustomed to do this that my little brother will often say, “There’s some litter. Daddy, stop the car!” and we would often pull over and pick it up. It may seem strange, and we actually enjoy it. We pick up litter in parks, on sidewalks, practically anywhere. Once I even saw a complete stranger picking up litter close to where we live in. He smiled at me and said, “I saw you doing it, and it seemed like the good idea.”
