1 . French first lady Brigitte Macron appeared to have strong feelings when she paid a surprise three-hour visit on Wednesday to her “godson” Yuan Meng, a giant panda in the Beauval Park Zoo, about 200 kilometers southwest of Paris.
“The first giant panda born in France on Aug 4, 2017. Yuan Meng is going to return to China’s Giant Panda Research and Reproduction Center in Chengdu on July 4 to join in the conservation (保护) program and breed with an unrelated female”, zoo director Rodolphe Delord said.
“Yuan Meng will soon go back to China, That’s why I wanted to be here today,” said the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, who was accompanied by Secretary of State for Ecology Berangere Couillard. “I will try to go to see him maybe once there. Yuan Meng was born to his parents Yuan Zi and Huan Huan, who arrived in France in 2012.
“I have known Yuan Meng for five and a half years, and every time I see him, this same emotion comes back,” said Brigitte: who is known as Yuan Meng’s “godmother”. “We look at it and we don’t want to be anywhere else. But why, I don’t know,”
Yuan Meng survived (存活) after his birth in 2017, but his fragile twin brother, born 14 minutes earlier, unfortunately died just a few hours after birth,

One day, 8-year-old Mary and her 10-year-old sister, Jane, had to go to a beauty salon (美容院) on Clinton Street to have their hair cut. 10 . I have no memory of December 27. 2015; but I can tell you this much ̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶ ̶ it was the day my five-year-old son, Dane, saved my life. All the practicing Dane and I had done came together that day. Recently, emergency responders in Taber, the town where we live, honored Dane at his school during an assembly (集会) of his kindergarten classmates and other students. The Taber Police Service praised my son and give him a certificate (证书) in recognition of his “knowing exactly what to do in an emergency situation.”
Dane saved my life, and he is my angel! If I had not taught my son how to react if there was ever an emergency in our home, I am quite certain that I would not be alive now. I strongly suggest other parents understand the life-and -death importance of taking the time to teach their kids these skills, too. Children can learn these things at a very young age. I know this first-hand, as Dane was three years old when I started teaching him.
