Today I’d like to introduce to you China’s Tai Chi. It’s a popular activity that contained Chinese culture about inner peace or harmony. If you walk through a park in the morning, you’ll see a series of beautiful movement performed by a slow, focused manner with deep breathing. I often practice Tai Chi after class, benefited much from il. For me, it’s not just a sport to make me fit, but also a way of life what can make me peacefully.

Last week, I signed up for it with my family as soon as we hear the event Celebrate the Spring Festival to held. We had a heated discussion immediately but decided to sing a song named Song of Motherland. The next day, we began to make many preparation for our performance. Someone was very serious and hardworking to practice it. Then came the big day while our efforts paid off. The audience in the community were liked it, giving us warmly applause. In an end, we got a prize. We were really excited when receiving the souvenirs presenting by the community staff there.

The day before yesterday, I went to pay a visit to my former neighbor. Stan. He and I would live next each other fora few years. About several months ago, word came which the old building, as well as many other similar one, was going to be pulled up to make room for a main street. So we had to separate. Stan’s home now is in the north of the city near the beautiful lake. His house is much big than before. The only problem trouble him is that it takes quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Thus, Stan isn’t concerned about the long distance. He tells us that a new subway line is being built now and he is sure of life will be better and much more convenient in the future.

I enjoy learn English and can remember words easily. However, when it come to reading comprehension, it’s really a challenge. In order improve my reading I tried to read a storybook written in English on last Sunday. At first, I refer to the dictionary every time I came across a new word, which I found not very helpful. I often felt puzzling about what I had read. Then I tried to finish a chapter completely without looking up the new words. How surprised me was that I could understand the story well. I’m satisfied that now I have a good way to learn English than before. I hope I will make great progresses in English in a way.

Although autumn leaves are very beauty all around the world, the colorful leaves in Beijing’s Xiangshan Park is really unique. The explosion of colors across the park is an amazed sight that only Mother Nature can provide. The fall scenery of the park never disappoints and pretty sights can be found everywhere, regardless the weather.

Each autumn, people in Beijing will squeeze in their last gatherings in the park after winter settles in. It is a perfect season for outdoor exploration with some of their friend. Visitors will took off their jackets at the noon as the sun shines brightly in the sky. They will ride bikes, or walk along the parkways that offer him a chance to take in the sights before they are sending back indoors until spring.

I experienced something amazing last Spring Festival. On the second day of the holiday, it was snowing heavy but we had a very important relative to visit, who lived in a distant mountain village. They had to take risks to drive on our journey. The road was bad, and we arrived safely. A family welcomed us warmly. We treated with a good dinner. Later in the afternoon, after say goodbye, we start to return home. Sadly, our car was stuck in the snow halfway and couldn’t move. Just now, my father saw two villager walking by. They offered to push our car. Their helping us out of made our trip unforgettable.

With the weather getting warm, last week our school’s annual sports meeting was held on as scheduled. The opening ceremony, in it each class performed a marvelous march, was splendid. During the competitions, players on behalf of their classes spared no effort to reaching their maximum ability. I took part in the 800-meters race. I had worked out regular and made full preparations after the sports meeting. Determining and confident, I won first prize and bring honour to my class. During the sports meeting, not only we reduce our pressure, but we also gained an insight into how sportsmanship is.

Qingming Festival is one of most important traditional festivals in China. It falls on April 4th or 5th, where most Chinese people enjoy a public holiday. Qingming Festival was also called Tomb Sweeping Day. It is the time for Chinese people to showing respect for their ancestors by cleaning their ancestors’ tombs and place offerings. In addition to, Qingming in Chinese means “clearness” or “brightness”. It is the fifth of the 24 solar term of the traditional Chinese solar calendar. Beside, it also marks the start of the warm weather of spring and the beginning of busily farming season.

Every year I spent Mid-autumn Day with my family. However, due to the pandemic I had to stay in university with my classmate this year. In the evening, all the students couldn’t go back home gathered in the classroom. We had a party to celebrate this tradition festival. We tried to have fun singing, dancing, reciting poems and play games. In that harmonious atmosphere, none of them felt lonely or homesick.

I was deep impressed by the special day. I couldn’t go home so I experienced such a wonderful Mid-autumn Day, which left me moving to tears. Thus, I learn to value with all the festivals in my life.
