When I was 8 years old, my best friend gave me a copy of this book and told me that I might find it interesting. He could not have been more right, for I     1     (addict) to the book immediately and I finished it in a matter of three days. To me,     2     was a miracle (奇迹) to finish a book so quickly at that age! I found that the book was both     3     (benefit) and     4     (entertain) at the same time. The author, Mr. Dale Carnegie, didn’t introduce a principle or an idea without     5     (support) it with at least one real life story where the principle     6     (introduce) proved helpful. The solutions     7     the problems provided in the book had a great, almost immediate, effect on my behavior as I was growing up. I noticed that I was getting along better with my parents and teachers, being much     8     (popular) at school, and I even began to understand people much better than before. I grew up     9     (believe) that this book was one of the greatest factors     10     (involve) in shaping my character.
