When my boys were younger, going out with them was difficult. My heart sank during the holiday season every time I looked at the long line of kids waiting to meet Santa. This was not an activity our family could enjoy. The noise and crowds caused sensory (感官的) overload for my five-year-old son Noah, an autistic (患自闭症的) child. I also had a younger son, Henry, who needed an extra hand. Waiting in line was hardly possible.
I always hoped for the best but planned for the worst when I took the boys out of the house, but I knew that attempting to get a picture with Santa wasn’t worth the risk. On the afternoon of Christmas Eve a year ago, the phone rang. The voice on the other end of the line said, “If you’re at home this evening, I’d like to arrange for Santa to stop by.” It was Denny, the friendly owner of a company, who had helped us with our do-it-yourself project. In a short time he was at our home, Denny’s kindness and ability to relate to our kids were evident.
I felt nervous and excited about having Santa come to our home. Denny told me it would be well arranged. Would our kids even notice? Would they be frightened by a stranger in a red suit? Would they cry?
A few minutes before I was planning to cook dinner on Christmas Eve, Santa tapped gently on the living-room window. Noah was speechless, and his jaw dropped. Henry, two years old, waved and said, “Hi, Santa!”

The doctor went ahead of us and found one of the nurses partially covered with rubble（碎石），luckily still alive. Suddenly, the aftershock (余震）struck and the doctor ordered us to leave. The brave doctor intended to stay alone and risk his own life to save the nurse.

Alice is an ordinary woman with an amazing heart. One day, she was flying from Tampa to Hawaii for a meeting. Her boyfriend, Rico, came to see her of. When they slowly made it to the safety check, they noticed the airport security (安保人员) was asking a young lady to drop a package into the litter bin before boarding her plane.
The lady begged to place the package in Lost and Found Department instead of throwing it away. Sadly, it was not allowed. The lady, after much begging, finally dropped her package and was heading to her gate. Alice, after realizing the lady was nearly in tears, knew something was wrong. While hugging Rico goodbye, she asked him to quietly go through the liter bin and pick up the deserted (丢弃的) package to see what was inside of it. Alice was truly trying to help the lady.
After waving a final goodbye to his girlfriend, Rico went straight to the litter bin to get the package.
As soon as her plane landed, Alice called Rico about the package and was told that in it was a snow globe (水晶球) with a picture of the young lady in the airport.
