Last Sunday I finished my volunteer work in the wildlife park in my hometown, where was a valuable experience for me.
In park, I did the cleaning for the animals and feed them every day. In addition to, I corrected the translation mistakes on the leaflets which give visitors basic informations about the park. I also worked as a guide tell visitors that they should pay attention to when visiting the park.
I am so happy that I did something useful but meaningful for those wonderfully creatures. I hope more and more people will join me to protect it.

To perform at Carnegie Hall is a honor for any musician. It’s the highlight of his or her career. It true takes a lot of practice and hard work to be good enough to play at Carnegie Hall.
Carnegie Hall was built by Andrew Carnegie, one of the richest men of his time. It opened in May of 1891. It’s famous for its superb acoustics (音响设计), which make it a wonderful place to both perform and listen to music-all type of music. The famous Russian composer Tchaikovsky played there, and so do the Beatles.
Since the opening night over 100 years ago, many prominent classical, jazz, and pop musicians performed at Carnegie Hall. No matter what they arrived on the night of their performances such as by subway, taxi, or on foot, they all got to there by dedication to their art, talent-and practice, practice, practice.
Last summer I have an unusual experience. It was raining hardly. Because of this, the river near my town rose but flooded some of the rice fields. The villagers, included me, went to the dam to make them strong. The PLA soldiers also came to help us. We fought hard for three days. On the end the dam was saved and our village protected from the flood. Though I became very tired after I returned home, but I was very happy. I learned many things from the villager and the soldiers. I also learned a lots from my unusual experience.

My parents run teahouse near the square of our ancient town. Last Sunday I was helping out there while two foreign visitors came in. Talked to them in simple English, I learned they are Canadian. Because they had a deep interest about Chinese countryside and culture, so they came to Beijing to study Chinese last year. Attracted by the beauty of our town, they decide to stay for another three days. They even told me they’d like to introduce our beautifully town to friends in Canada. Last week, I participated the School Art Festival. Our school band was invited to put on a performance at the open ceremony. As a member of the band, I practiced hard but made full preparations for it. Unfortunate, there was something wrong with our equipments before the show began. With the help of our music teacher, we deal with the problem successfully and completed the performance, that made us receive loud applause from the audience. After their performance, I watched other performances. I was impressed by the talents of my fellow students and had a great fun. I felt proud to be part of this Art Festival and grateful to have so wonderful classmates.
Last night, my family went out to eat to celebrate my brother’s new job. I notice our waitress was acting rather strangely. She kept forgetting to bring thing she was serving to customers. We comforted her and said it was OK when she apologized for not remember to bring my salad. In a fact, she had to help two new cooks beside providing services for customers. To show our encouragement, we decided leave a tip (小费) what was larger than usual. She was so moved and thanked them again and again. Seeing her final slow down to breathe and look less worrying, we were all very happy.

I was acting the previous summer in an amateur theater group. I have always enjoyed acting and the theater, but I never thought I would have the opportunity to part of a real Broadway production. This became out a reality during my practice with The Starway Theater Group. One evening just before our performance we were telling by the organizer of the theater group that an important Broadway director was from the audience. He was there to discover new talents for his show. We could hardly hold our exciting! Even though I had been performing in the small show all summer, I was quite nervous.
When I went on stage for my first scene, I felt as if I were about to make the fool of myself. I still don’t understand that exactly happened, whether it was the effect of the bright lights on me or the idea that I was being watched by a great director, but whatever it was, I gave my good performance ever!
Before the show I was asked to meet with the director and he offered me a small part in his Broadway show. That autumn I went to New York and perform for one season on Broadway! It was an experience of a lifetime!

It had been more than twenty years since my first day at senior high passed. I woke up early and rushed out of the door eager to get to know my new school.
