Whether it is a child, a teenager, a middle-aged person     1     an old person, everybody needs good friends.

During     2     (child), friendship helps us understand and develop the habit of sharing and caring. Small kids develop friendship faster than adults and they enjoy the company of their friends. They play and learn together. Making friends     3     (be) important for their proper growth and     4     (develop). As teenagers, friends become more important for us. We go     5     many changes during our teenage life. Many of the problems     6     (face) during this age cannot be discussed with our parents and other family members. However, we are quite comfortable communicating with our friends. Having good friends     7    can listen to our problems and offer us support and guidance is indeed a lucky thing during this age.

More and more people these days     8     (suffer) from mid-life crisis (中年危机). Their family, job, kid and almost everything around begin to appear     9     struggle to them at this age. Havin good friends at this time can help them a lot.

Friends are important for old people too. If they have friends around, their life remains     10     (joy) and interesting.

The influence that my parents have    1     me is great. They teach me to better myself and that happiness and success often come to those     2    are good at recognizing their own           3    (strong). Whenever J tended to quit, they would say, "Be patient. You can't expect to improve anything           4     (significant) in just two weeks."

Mary will never forget the first time she saw him. He suddenly appeared in class one day,     1    ( wear ) sunglasses. He walked in as if he     2    ( buy ) the school. And the news     3    ( quick ) got around that he was from New York City.

For some reason he sat beside Mary. Mary felt     4    ( please ) , because there were many empty seats in the room. But she quickly realized that it wasn’t her, it was probably the fact that she sat in     5    last row.

If he thought he could escape attention by sitting at the back, he was wrong. It might have made it a little     6    ( hard ) for everybody because it meant they had to turn around, but that didn’t stop the kids in the class. Of course whenever they turned to look at him, they had to look at Mary,     7     made her feel like a star.

“Do you need those glasses for medical reasons?”the teacher asked. The new boy shook his head. “Then I’d appreciate it if you didn’t wear them in class. I like to look at your eyes when I’m speaking to you. ”The new boy looked at the teacher

    8    a few seconds and all the other students wondered     9    the boy would do. Then he took     10    off, gave a big smile and said, “That’s cool.”

During my childhood, whenever the sun dropped and the blue sky came up, my father and I would climb the mountain near our house. Walking together, we had a lot of conversations through     1     I learned many valuable lessons. He always stressed to me, “You should have objectives and capacity like the mountain. This has     2     (large) influenced my life.     3     the mountain-climbing, we couldn't have had enough time to spend together because my father was busy.
